In 1969, the company merged with Kewaunee Optical Industries to form J & J Scopes Inc. The company continued to produce quality optics until it was sold to CRH Semiconductor in 2003. Today, CRH Semiconductor is one of the largest manufacturers of scope products in North America and manages Bexley's inventory of optic equipment and access to research and development resources.

Bexley, Ohio is a city in the northwest part of the U.S. state of Ohio and the seat of Clark County. The population was 25,611 at the 2010 census. It is one of thirteen cities in Greater Cleveland metropolitan area and is included in the Cleveland–Akron–Canton, OH Combined Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Bexley were French traders in 1692, who named it Beaux-Arts after their home town of Beauvais, France. A post office was established at Bexley on November 11, 1813, under the name Beausoleil. The name was changed to Bexley Township on December 12, 1824, and to Bexley Township and Range 5 County on February 14, 1836. The township was abolished on March 1st, 1851 when it merged with Union Township to form Clark County.[1] On July 1st 1830 George Stephenson built his first locomotive at Bellefontaine near Xenia (now Paintersville). He called it "The Rocket" because he had seen a model train while vacationing in Belgium that resembled an exploding firework display over Chesapeake Bay. When Stephenson took possession of this new engine he christened her "The Queen". She ran every day between Bellefontaine and Xenia until October 1830 when she broke down near Mansfield due to bad fuel oil being used on her boilers; Stephenson ordered her replaced by another engine but she never got built.[2] In 1870-, Ohio's legislature appropriated $5 million for railroad construction across central Ohio,[3][4][5] which led to creation of two railroads: The Cleveland & Erie Railroad (1871),[6][7] now part of CSX Transportation; and The Huron Railroad (1872),[8][9] now part of Norfolk Southern Railway Company . On May 15th 1872 both companies completed their tracks from Euclid eastward through what would become Bexley into Lewis Township formed out of Scioto Township west thereof as a result also annexation by Lewis Township from Ottawa County[10]. This opened up much farmland for development as people traveled away from cities like Cincinnati looking for land they could farm or build homes on while still keeping close ties with family members back home who would help tend their fields or provide services such as financing or law enforcement protection during boom times. As these railways got closer to town more people started moving into townships formed outta other villages or rural areas that became available including parts northeastof town currently Unicoi Junction along I-675 which served as an eastern terminus for those trains before becoming residential neighborhoods today known as Northfield Village., Southfield Village., Hudson Heights., Lyndhurst., etcetera

The first scopes had a magnification of only 7x. By 1825, there was an improvement over the original design called the “telescope tube” which allowed for 10x magnification. This gave rise to the modern day telescope which has a magnification of 100x or more. There have been many advancements in technology over the years such as digital photography and 3D printing which have allowed for even greater viewing power and resolution on modern telescopes.

Bexley, Ohio is a small town located in the southwestern corner of Ohio. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. Bexley is one of two towns in Cuyahoga County (the other being Youngstown) that are both located on the southern edge of Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area around Bexley includes some beautiful rolling hills and rural farmland as well as a few downtown businesses and parks. The first inhabitants of what would become Bexley were Native Americans who hunted game in the area during the early 1800s. David Brown, an American Revolutionary War veteran and farmer from Cuyahoga County, purchased land around what is now Bexley from the Indians in 1810. Brown built a log cabin near present day Bexley Road for himself and his family. He sold part of his property to John Foster in 1816. A post office was established at Foster's cabin in 1817, but it was discontinued due to lack of customers. In 1821, George Washington appointed Robert Denny as town clerk and began issuing town criers' licenses which allowed residents to sell their products such as flowers and eggs door-to-door. By 1830, there were 10 residents living in Bexley with six businesses operating: store, blacksmith shop, wagon wheelwright shop, ferryboatman's shop, corn miller's house/market place, and schoolhouse/churchyard. In 1830 John Sibley became headmaster of Stonington Academy which had been started by Reverend Samuel Morse in 1814 near Canfield Village on the border between Medina County and Erie County (now part of Akron). Sibley moved his academy to what is now called Harmon Park after finding land for it just east of today's intersection of Boulevard Road and Westlake Avenue Northeast (later renamed Harmon Drive). The first students arrive at Stonington Academy on November 1st 1830 under Mr./Mrs./Sibling Smith; all boys except Mr./ Mrs./Mr.—all girls because girls could not attend Reese's Female School which opened ten miles away across Willoughby Street NW on October 7th 1830 broomstick washable clothes made out front with our own water source—a big step forward for education! In addition to preparing students for college or even into professional careers they learned many important things like how to farm including raising chickens etc., playing games like Checkers or Monopoly etc., socializing with each other while learning about general life skills necessary for future relationships among people----and much more! Bexley was founded in 1812 by James Caldwell and others as a small community on the eastern edge of what is now Columbus, Ohio. The area around Bexley was rich in natural resources, including coal and timber, which brought settlers here during the early 1800s. The town grew rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s, becoming one of the largest in Ohio. By 1910, Bexley had over 10,000 residents. It experienced a significant growth spurt during World War II, with population figures reaching 70,000 by 1945. However, since then Bexley has slowly declined as its economy has shifted towards suburbia. In recent years there have been efforts to revive the town but these have not been successful; in 2017 Bexley had a population of just under 20 people.
