Bexley, Ohio is home to one of the most important ammunition manufacturing plants in the United States. The company was founded in 1892 by John Moses Browning and his brother, Austin. Ammunition production has grown steadily here ever since, continues to this day, and employs close to 1,000 people. In 1870, Bexley became one of three villages in Hamilton County (the others being Zanesville and Sandusky) when it was annexed by that county.
