The Berea, Ohio Gun Magazine Club was formed in 1892. The club is the oldest gun magazine organization in Berea, Ohio and has been providing members with quality magazines since 1892. The club has a rich history that goes back to when it was known as the Citizens Rifle Association of Berea. In 1902, the club changed its name to the Berea Rifle and Pistol Club and continued to provide high-quality magazines to its members. In 1907, the club moved from downtown Berea to a new building on Elm Street. This building served as the club’s headquarters until 1969 when it was replaced by another building on Elm Street which still serves as the club’s current headquarters today. The old building is now used as part of the clubhouse grounds and is open to visitors for tours every Monday evening from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.. The club has played an important role in maintaining handguns and rifle ammunition supply in Berea over many years. In 1976, theclub became a member of American Firearms Associations (AFA). AFA is an affiliate of National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), which helps keep firearms production under control while helping protect consumers across America. As part of AFA membership, theclub becomes responsible for issuing all types of shooting permits including concealed carry permits and muzzleloading contests/ exhibitions/ Photograph Ops events that are sanctioned by NSSF . Today,the Berea Gun Magazine Club continues its tradition of providing high-quality magazines to its members at no cost while also upholding NRA values such asazaar hunting/ target shooting/ sport Fishing/camping/ picnicking etc…

Berea, Ohio is a town in the Miami Valley region of Ohio. It is the county seat of Mahoning County and was founded in 1811 by John Berea. The population was 21,558 as of the 2010 census. Berea is located in central Mahoning County on the southern edge of the rolling hills that ring the city of Cleveland. As one side of I-71 travels through town, it meets State Route 812 (known locally as "The Main Street Loop"), which leads east to Sylvania and west to Mentor. To its north lies Lake Erie; to its south lies Akron and Reading. According to The Gazetteer of Ohio: Berea's rich agricultural history goes back to when it was first settled by Europeans in 1811 - specifically, John Berea and his brother Nicholas - who came from Zanesville, OH. At that time, there were only a few hundred people living hereabouts... By 1830 [John] had purchased 533 acres (2 square miles) southeast of downtown for $1 per acre... This area became known as Berea because it had much corn ground out at that time." In 1835, John Berea donated land for a public square near his home which still stands today called "The Square" or "The People's Square". Over time various other donations followed including 7 lots in what is now downtown Berea for $5 each from Nathan Haines who also gave property along State Route 812 for a park named after him – Nathan Haines Park – in 1892. The village proper began growth around this square with many small businesses opening up until about 1920 when all but one business closed down due to lack of customers or competition from larger cities nearby such as Cleveland and Akron.. Today’s downtown core dates back to 1925 when First National Bank moved into its present building on Second Avenue between Meridian and Fairview Streets." In 1840, George Wirtz donated land off state route 9 northwest of town for an academy which would become Whitewater Academy & Collegiate Institute later renamed Whitewater University serving students from all over Northeast Ohio until 1971 and beyond! In addition to education opportunities these days Whitewater University offers several sports programs including baseball/softball/tennis teams men’s soccer/football team women’s golf team water polo team men’s tennis team women’s tennis team hockey program etc etc etc….. Additionally there are several entrepreneurial businesses currently active within our walls……….today some 30 companies provide nearly 900 jobs directly supporting our community economy….about half those jobs are classified as “reliable trade establishments providing services essential to local commerce…” Our Mayor has declared September 15th local school district day recognizing all these years we have supported mainstream education while also doing our part creating many new family-friendly businesses…..Our biggest accomplishment yet has been becoming both an innovative technology center early adopter & provider thenandovelandohio & now leading market developer across Northeast Ohio
Gun magazines have a long and varied history. They began as small, hand-held devices used by hunters and collectors to keep their firearms in good condition. Over time, however, magazines became more complex and require more maintenance than just keeping a firearm clean. In the 20th century, magazine culture spread to popular media such as radio and television shows where people could watch gunfights or listen to music while reloading their firearms. This exposure led to the development of professional magazines that are now used by millions of Americans for both shooting and storage purposes. The first magazine was created in 1833 by George Peabody and Sons in America. The device was called the Colt Pocket Magazine (CPM). It was designed to be worn on the belt around the waist like awatch! The CPM was incredibly successful and quickly became popular among hunter/collectors who wanted easy access to their firearms when not use them. However, due to its simplicity it also had some limitations which were soon addressed with subsequent models such as the Colt Government Model (GM) which featured an adjustable stock, wider magazine capacity,a bayonet lug for attaching a rifle barrel protector,and other enhancements. In 1868 Fred Flintstone published his famous cartoon series titled "Flintstones". One of the show's central characters is named Flitwick who owns a personal collection of high-powered rifles known as "the Flintstones Rifle Club". In one episode of the show, Flintstone visits an arms dealer whoplays host to several Westerners including Pat O'Malley (Cliff Curtis) from San Diego who has brought over an experimental revolver built by John Brownlee (Edmund Gwenn) from Texas - one of only two pistols ever made with iron sights! The other pistol is owned by Sheriff Callahan (Jimmie Lee Jones) from Austin who uses it against outlaws during his ongoing law enforcement campaign! During this episode Flintstone demonstrates how he can use his club's rifle against these opponents at close range - hitting targets up to 25 feet away! In 1934 National Firearms Act passed which allowed civilians purchasing handguns in any state without having prior criminal record or being fingerprinted to own assault rifles with detachable magazines that held 10 rounds each! As part of this legislation American Arms Corporation (AAC) came into being providing high quality ammunition for handgun owners throughout America! AAC produced many varieties of ammunition including: 38 Special (.38 Special), 9mm Parabellum (.45 ACP), .223 Remington(NATO caliber), 7mm Remington Magnum(7x39mm), .22 Long Rifle(canned air rifle caliber), 556 NATO(5x55mm NATO). These cartridges were later marketed under various names such as Winchester Superformance Ammunition®, Federal Premium Ammunition®, Hornady Performance Ammunition®, etc.. Gun magazines have been an important part of American culture for centuries and continue to be so today. Ammo manufacturers have continued producing innovative new cartridges specifically designed for handgun usage making it easier for shooters everywhere enjoy excellent accuracy at all distances
The first magazines to be designed for use with firearms were pistols and shotguns. The Colt 1851 revolver had a tubular magazine that held six rounds. The next step was the development of the lever-action rifle, which featured a revolving cylinder that allowed for more cartridges to be carried in one go than could be accommodated in a pistol or shotgun magazine. This led to the introduction of centerfire rifles and handguns, which required additional magazines to hold rounds/guns in reserve.

In 1812, Berea became the capital of Ohio and remained so until 1827. During its heyday, Berea was a bustling commercial center with several banks, an opera house, and a large number of homes. However, the town's prosperity faded after World War II when manufacturing left Berea for other countries. Today, the community is best known for its annual Festival of Arts and Sciences which features art exhibitions, music concerts, and science demonstrations.
Berea was founded in 1795 by Peter Berea, a Quaker. The community was named for the biblical town of Berea in Judea. In 1827, the railroad arrived and began to connect Toledo with Cleveland. Buckeye Lake became an important water source, so the village developed a water tower and pump station to supply its residents. The first post office opened in 1829.
