Since then, Bellefontain Optical Shop has become one of America's leading optical supply stores. In addition to selling optics products, the store also provides services such as repair and restoration work on lenses and cameras. Since then, other businesses have joined the optical community in Bellemontaine. They include: BelleFontaine Camera & Photo Supply (1993-present), which sells digital camera equipment; Beaufort Camera &repair(1978-1994), which specializes in repairs and replacements for personal computers; and Winchester Optics(1976-1992), which supplies eyeglasses and sunglasses to local restaurant chains across Ohio and Kentucky. These businesses have all helped support the growth of the optically-related industry in Bellemontaine over the years.

Bellefontaine is a small town in Ashland County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,492 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bellefontaine was founded in 1814 by French immigrant Pierre Bellefontaine and his wife Marie-Antoinette de Boisbriand. The first post office was established in 1824. In 1836, Bellefontaine became a village under the jurisdiction of Ashland Township. The village consolidated with other villages in 1938 and became a city under the mayor-council form of government. Bellefontaine is named for General Lafayette, who fought during the American Revolution and died at the Battle of Bunker Hill on July 26, 1775. General George Washington also visited Bellefontaine while he was president of the United States in 1797. There are several historical landmarks located within or near Bellefontaine including: The old school building (now used as a daycare) still stands today and is one of Belle fontaines most well known tourist attractions!

Bellefontaine, Ohio is a small town in the Athens-Clarke County, Ohio, United States. The population was 793 at the 2010 census. Bellefontaine was platted in 1812 and named for Bulstrode Bellefontaine, an Englishman who had come to America in 1809. The first settlers of Bellefontaine were James and Nancy Manning, who arrived in 1814. They built a log cabin on the current site of Bellefontaine Elementary School. In 1830, John Fenton bought land from the Manning family and began development of what would become Bellefontaine Village. He erected a two-story wooden building on what is now Elm Street. A year later he donated land for a Methodist church, which dedicated its first services on December 12, 1830. In 1851, David Hofer purchased land east of Bellefontaine Village from John Fenton and began developing Hofer's Run Countryside Colony estate into what is now Belleville Township. His heirs continue to own much of that area today. In 1852, Samuel Morse bought land west of Bellefontaine Village from Hofer and developed Morse's Run Colony into what is now West Belleville Township. His heirs continue to own much of that area today as well; however, Morse Road still runs through most of it parallel to Elm Street near the old schoolhouse (now also used as a grocery store). Bellemontaine was incorporated as a village in 1902; it reverted to township status in 1907 following annexation by Athens-Clarke County. At the 1914 census there were 855 residents living in 396 homes; by 2000 the population had grown to 1,023 with 536 inhabited homes。Bellefontane
