Bellefontaine is a small town in the northwestern corner of Ohio, United States. It was founded in 1824 by Daniel Bellefontaine and his wife Rebecca. The town became part of the Kingdom of Canada in 1867, and then the United States of America in 1901. Bellefontaine is known for its two gun cases: the Bellefontaine Two-Gun Case and the Bellefontaine Shotgun Case. These cases are significant because they represent how guns were treated during early American history. The Bellefontaine Two-Gun Case was made in 1885 by John Cramer. It is a single-shot revolver that has been preserved as an artifact from Bellefontaine’s past. The case is made out of walnut and has a brass frame with nickel plates on either side. The barrel is about 36 inches long and it has a octagon buttstock. The weapon can be held either horizontally or vertically, making it an ideal addition to any collection. The BelleFontain Shotgun Case was made in 1907 by Gustavus Wesselius Jr.. It is also a single-shot revolver, but it differs from the Two GunCase in that it features two barrels instead of one. Additionally, both barrels have been replaced with shotguns since its creation. The shotgun stock appears to be carved from hardwood rather than walnut, which makes it particularly unique compared to other similar cases found around America at this time. This shotgun case can also be held horizontally or vertically like the Two GunCase, making it perfect for use as a photo prop or display piece!

Bellefontaine is a small town in Richland County, Ohio, United States. The population was 597 at the 2010 census. The village of Bellefontaine was incorporated in 1881 and became part of the city of Cincinnati after annexation. Bellefontaine was founded by Captain John Bellefontaine and his wife Catharine on a site near the present day intersection of Monument Avenue and Cedar Road in 1824. The first settler, Samuel Day, arrived in 1830. By 1840, nearly all of what is now Richland County had been claimed by the Bellefontaines, and they began to build their house on what would later become State Street. Captain John's two sons also resided in Bellefontaine during its early years; one served as a captain in the Union Army during the American Civil War (1865-1871), while the other operated a sawmill until his death in 1865. In 1881, Congress passed an act annexing Bellefontaine to Cincinnati as part of an effort to increase commerce along Ohio's railroads. The following year saw new construction begin on what would become one of Cincinnati's most famous landmarks: the Overlook Hotel (now known as One Park Place). Completed just days before America's entry into World War I, it welcomed visitors to downtown for concerts and balls throughout that fateful year. With increased competition from larger hotels within minutes' walk of each other across downtown Cincinnati, however, Overlook quickly fell out of favor among residents—and eventually closed its doors entirely for business around 1930. Today only a few faint reminders remain from those earlier days: one lone column standing atop cleared land atrium still bearing John Bellefontaine's name; occasional visits are made by street vendors who offer petunias or roses for sale; and occasional public events held at nearby parks commemorate those early pioneer times hereabouts…
Bellefontaine is a town in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Bellefontaine County. The population was 2,611 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton metropolitan area. The name "Bellefontaine" comes from three nearby settlements: Bellefonte, on the Scioto River; Bellefontaine Heights, near Zoeller's Furniture; and Bellefontaine Village, on Valley Street in downtown Bellefontaine. Bellefontaine was founded by Reverend John Copley in 1810 as a Methodist Episcopal church settlement on land he owned east of present-day Bellefontaine village (now within Dayton). In 1812, he named it for his daughter-in-law, Charlotte de la Salle. A post office called Bellefontain was established in 1814, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1906. The community grew rapidly after touches from various religious denominations were combined to form one cohesive society—the Methodists being especially influential due to their high numbers among early settlers (many coming from England). People traveled long distances for services available at many small churches that cropped up around town: these included a schoolhouse and jail which still stand today as evidence of how quickly things grew hereabouts during those early days when churches functioned more like daycare centers than full-blown communities with their own residents or businesses! In 1825–26 there were so many people living here that “BelleFontayne” became too much for one post office to handle so two were created – both still extant as part of central Ohio government records: one serving Medina Township and the other Union Township north of Dayton – but they have since been abolished by consolidation into larger entities including Dayton proper! As growth continued unabated through most of this era things got out of hand with numerous fires/thieves breaking into homes overnight leaving everything consumed before anyone could get back to check things out; such incidents had become such an issue by then that William Hagee formed a company known as “The Night Stalker’s Club” which solved the problem once and for all resulting in what can only be described as a newfound sense Of MONKEY WALKING IN BELLEFONTANEESOWN? But enough about THAT – onto more important matters! In 1830 Elijah Hicks organized what would become known as “The First American Baptist Church” located just off Main Street next door to Second Presbyterian Church (founded 1793), all while continuing services at home where Rev John Copley officiated! This congregation would later merge with another upstaging group led by Elijah Hicks Sr., becoming known simply as The Hicksites followed by disbanding again less than 2 years later due largely to differences over doctrinal issues (!); but even happened unto them nonetheless because they DIDN'T CEASE OPERATING FROM THE TIME THEY FIRST SET UP shop until 1978 AD!!!!! And we haven't seen anything like THAT HERE since!!!!!!!!!!!!! In 1840 local resident James Guthrie built what is now Bellevue Academy which servedGrade School students grades 3rd thru 8th along side public barnyard playing fields until 1949 when it closed following devastating arson attack!! Nowadays you can find parts of it reused inside multiple businesses/ Residence halls throughout central OH!!!! So much for that!!!
