There have been many target targets in Bedford, Ohio over the years. One of the earliest was a blacksmith shop located on Main Street. The target became one of the town's most popular attractions, and people would come to shoot at it from various locations. Another early target was a school that stood on North High Street. When the school burned down in 1892, the target remained standing and served as a reminder of what could have happened if there had been an accidental fire. The nexttarget to be set up in Bedford was a cotton gin on South Market Street. This target became popular because it allowed people to shoot at moving objects without having to worry about hitting someone or something valuable. The village also acquired another home for target practice when they built a small park near Union Bridge in 1913. This location became known as "Target Park" because people could come and shoot at any object they wanted while enjoying views of the river below. One of the biggest changes that occurred in Bedford after World War II was the increase in gun ownership within society. People began to feel more comfortable with firearms and decided to set up their own shooting ranges so they could compete against each other instead of relying on others to provide them with targets. In later years, Target Park closed down due to lack of interest from users, and it is now used as a playground by nearby children. However, today there are still plenty of places where people can go and shoot at targets if they're feeling brave enough!

The Battle of Bedford was fought on November 26, 1812, in the town of Bedford, Ohio. The battle was fought between the United States and Great Britain.
Bedford, Ohio is a small town in the U.S. state of Ohio and part of the Dayton metropolitan area. The population was 9,998 at the 2010 census. As of July 1, 2016, Bedford had an unemployment rate of 3%. It is located on the edge of Dayton's central business district and has a large shopping center with several high-end retailers including Sears and Kmart. The town was founded in 1802 by General Anthony Wayne and named for George Bedford who served as Governor of Northwest Virginia from 1786 to 1789. The first post office opened in 1806. In 1810, Bedford became one of thirteen townships in what would become Dayton township. In 1827, Bedford voted to secede from Montgomery County because they felt that county officials were too slow to get their projects done and that taxes were too high. They rejoined Montgomery County two years later but again voted to secede when it became clear that their project would not be finished on time or within budget. In 1861, during the American Civil War, Bedford fought for Union troops against Confederate forces under General Robert Ewell Jr.. On November 11th 1865 after days of fighting, Union troops overran Confederate positions near what is now known as Battle Creek Road (now US Route 518) in nearby Oxford Township therefore resulting in much destruction including homes which were looted by Confederate soldiers before being burned down by Union forces weeks later; these events are commemorated annually with a commemoration event called "The Revolution" which takes place on November 11th across from Yorktown Middle School located off Battle Creek Road west of Dayton's Central Business District during lunchtime). After the war ended, most citizens moved back into their original homes while some built new ones around Battle Creek Road where they still live today; this process called " developmental village" often occurs when a new community begins up and many people move into new housing until all residents have settled down and picked their own spots within walking distance (this phenomenon also happens when subdivisions are rezoned to accommodate more people). Bedford continues to maintain its role as an agricultural center with significant production including apples, grapes, onions and tomatoes; however recent development has givenway to light industry such as manufacturing products for baby wipes and air fresheners along with professional services such as law enforcement/peacekeeping services; both businesses have since relocated elsewhere making Bedford less reliant on agriculture for economic activity although there is still considerable acreage dedicated to corn raising operations used primarily for feedstock ingredients rather than consumer goods exportations currently (see below about current agribusiness activities)). Bedford started out small but quickly grew due largely to its location - just outside Dayton's centrally controlled limits - between two major railroads providing easy access both southward towards Cincinnati through I-75/I-4803 corridor & northward towards Pittsburgh through PA Turnpike turning 471 onto US Route 1295A becoming one of only a few communities eastbound & westbound accessing both main roads without going through downtown! This combination made it difficult for other local municipalities (& Columbus) vying for same business opportunities either expanding beyond boundaries drawn by railroads OR creating adjacent villages (& Mechanicsburg) which would've required crossing I- 75/I-4803 corridor (& having connecting streets), purchasing land or building PWYs (~new roads), etc...thus limiting growth potential greatly affecting tax base & infrastructure needs till present day!
