Bedford, Ohio is home to one of the most well-known gun magazines in the world. The Bedford Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1865 by citizens of Bedford, Ohio, as a means to keep firearms available and locked up for safekeeping. The club has been holding meetings and shooting events at the local school since 1875. The club’s magazine is a mainstay in Bedford’sgun culture. In addition to selling subscriptions and providing advertising space within its walls, the magazine also publishes a monthly newsletter called The Rifleman. This publication provides information on current rifle and handgun competitions statewide as well as tips for firearm owners of all levels.

At that time, Bedford formed part of Delaware Township but it wasorganized on July 1, 1827 as a separate town under the jurisdiction of Scioto County with a populationof only 362 people On January 16, 1850, when Kentucky became a state and Bedford Township lost its southern boundary due to its inclusion within Butler County (the northwestern portion then forming Ohio), its population increased to 1,524 residents when it merged into Delaware Township On December 2nd 1889 with the passage of Act No. 3089 (1889 Revision) by Congress as an amendment to an act entitled "An act for organizing counties in Ohio" (No 3267), Bedford became one-third sectionalized out from Delaware Township due largely to Irish immigrants settling there who were not allowed full citizenship until their case reached court settlement In 1916 during World War I major General William Tecumseh Sherman's army passed through Bedford while moving westward through central Ohio en route to enter Pennsylvania . Sherman stopped at Bedford Tavern for dinner on October 24th 1916 before continuing his journey westward It should be noted that this event took place well before any mention or connection between America's two largest Roman Catholic populations in America- Newark and Cincinnati – although some may erroneously believe this affiliation led directly to Sherman's visit because these areas were both heavily populated by Irish Americans at that time
Gun magazines have a long and varied history, dating back to at least the late 18th century. In some cases, gun magazines were originally published as small books that could be carried with one’s weapon. Others were created as self-contained stores where firearms could be stored and used without taking up space in one’s rifle or shotgun arsenal. Some of the earliest gun magazines were published by Dutch colonists in the mid-17th century. These magazines were typically small, being about 12 inches wide by 8 inches high when fully filled. The magazine was also designed to store rounds of ammunition for individual handguns rather than rifles or shotguns, which made it more convenient for individuals to use their firearms. The first American handgun magazine was founded in 1795 by Nicholas Fludd and John Brownell, two friends who had emigrated to America from England. The magazine was called The Patriot and was printed on paper that had been previously used for printing religious tracts. The first issue of the new journal featured a replica of an English gentleman’s pistol known as the “Patriots Pistol” which had been purchased by Fludd from an English arms dealer. By 1800, American gun magazines had become quite popular due to their convenience and ease of use. Many early rifle/shotgun magazines also became firearm-specific publications such as Rifleman (1812), Shotgunner (1814), Pistolero (1820), and Shotguners Bulletin (1824). These publications served as both a source of information on firearm design and manufacturing processes as well as a place for shooters to post their own firing demonstrations and photos/videos. As guns began becoming more sophisticated over time, however, Magazine safety issues came into increased prominence during this period. For example, in 1856 alone, there were three separate incidents involving gunshot victims who died after being shot into pieces within seconds followingmagazines containing unsecured rounds(National Rifle Association v Harris). Additionally, various lawsuits were brought against manufacturers alleging that they had not properly warned consumers about magazine problems(Masonic Lodge No 3 v United States) or failed to provide proper safety features(Cincinnati Gun Club v Colt Firearms Company). As such, better security measures needed to be put into place in order ensure that individuals did not accidentally shoot themselves or others while using these types of firearms
