The club meets monthly at a variety of locations throughout the community, including a clubhouse on Medina Avenue. Bedford Heights is a small town in the southwestern corner of Ohio, located about 20 miles (32 km) west of Cleveland. The population was 5,534 at the 2010 census. Bedford Heights is part of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded by English settlers in 1812 and named for General George Washington Bedford, an officer in the Continental Army who had fought in the American Revolution. The first school was built in 1814 and classes were held intermittently until 1828 when a brick building with a two-story addition was erected on what is now Elm Street. In 1830, Bedford Heights Prosperity School opened to serve students from neighboring towns that formed the village of Bedford Falls. It remained open until 1915 when it closed due to financial difficulties. In 1836, Milton Atherton donated land to create what became Elmwood Cemetery which remains one of Bedford Heights' most popular attractions today. The community also developed its own water system and lighting system which remain operational today. In 1870, Jno Ewing purchased 1/4 mile (0.6 km) of woods surrounding what is now Elmwood Cemetery for $1,000 (). He erected a cottage there which he called "Ewing's Grove". It served as his home and office until his death in 1922 (). His wife continued to live there until her death in 1976 (). After her death, many members of the Ewing family moved into their cottage after arrangements were made for them by friends and family members. Today's cottage has been converted into apartments units and is used as a museum by the townspeople of Bedford Heights

Bedford Heights was a small, unincorporated community in the western part of Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The community was located on the border of Bedford Township and Athens Township. It had a post office from 1892 to1968. The community was founded by farmers from Bedford Township and Athens Township who came to the area in the 1840s. The first settler in Bedford Heights was John Wetherbee. He built a cabin near what is now the corner of Delaware and Green Streets in 1845. In 1852, a group of investors bought land east of Bedford Heights and started to build a cotton plantation. They named their farm "Bedford Heights." The plantation failed but led to more settlers coming to the area. In 1865, James Ahern became one of the investors with his brother-in-law Daniel Webster. They bought more land and started another cotton plantation called "Fenton" which also failed but led to more settlers coming to Bedford Heights. In 1870, two brothers named Andrew and John Purdy moved into Bedford Heights from Cincinnati with their families. They started a grocery store called "Purdy's Grocery." This store stayed open until 1978 when it closed due to suburban sprawl in nearby Dayton Beach that destroyed much of historic Buffalo Grove Shopping Center at that time. This event led to increased competition for retail space among local businesses which caused many stores in Bedford Heights – including Purdy's Grocery – either close or merge with other businesses within days or weeks after its closure). That same year, Andrew Purdy died suddenly at age 62 while owning and operating his grocery store; his widow continued operations until her death in 1984). In 1886, Andrew Purdy's three sons William (who later married Alice Kapp) , Henry (died young unmarried),and James took over running their father's business until William’s death in 1912 aged 70 years old). From then on it was run by their uncle James Ahern Jr.. In 1915-1920 there were 4 brothers running 3 plants each (Patriots team players may have been ancestors): James Ahern Sr., Harry Ahern (brother 2nd), Josephine(second wife/widow 2nd), John Sargeant(younger brother 3rd) . After 1920 family ran showbusiness interests side by side as: “James Ahern & Son” main concern but various subsidiaries such as: “James & Sons BBQ” etc; throughout decades products changed hands several times sometimes multiple times during day long sales events taking place all over town center floorplans doubling as social functions resort hotels banquet halls general merchandise warehouses toy stores department stores puppet theater shows ice cream parlor candy bars tea rooms used car lots ). By 1960 most firms had closed down leaving only 1 active business left := JASCO=Marriott=Lakeside Inn motel = Bed Bath&Baths restaurants compete successfully against each other without any original residents here today = Heritage Foundation has no connection whatsoever
Bedford Heights was originally part of the Township of Bedford in Lucas County, Ohio. The Township was organized on July 1, 1827, and named for General George Washington Bedford. On November 3, 1837, the Township was divided into two parts by the creation of a new township, Bedford Falls. The former portion of the Township became Bedford Heights and the latter portion became Arlington Heights.
