Beavercreek is a city in the Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 27,521 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in Cuyahoga County after Cleveland. The area that now makes up Beavercreek was first settled by Native Americans in the 17th century. The town of Beavercreek was founded by Samuel Beavers on March 15, 1814 as part of a land grant to his nephew George Washington Beavers. The present-day city of Beavercreek was incorporated on February 14, 1903. It derives its name from two small streams that run through it – Beaver Creek and Miami Creek – which were both named for beaver damming operations near their respective points of origin. For many years, however, no one knew where Beavercreek got its name from until it was mentioned in a patent application filed by John Morse on December 12, 1805 for land within what is now downtown Beavercreek. This document describes an Indian mound located east of what is now First Avenue and west ofpresent-day Second Avenue as being “Beavercumbee [sic]” because Chief Muscogee trader Major John Moore had early traded with them thereabouts. Morse's plat included a settlement called "Beavercumbee" (or "Bechumbeeville"), but this too failed to take off and he renamed it Cincinnati in 1811 upon becoming territorial governor of Ohio under Ulysses S Grant (1809–1865). However, when Grant became president in 1865 and ordered all federal lands sold off except for a sliver around Cincinnati proper – including much of today's Downtown – Morse moved his headquarters back to Boston so that he could continue trading with the Indians thereunder and still maintain control over 'the beautiful village opposite' which he had christened 'Cincinnati'. In 1907 voters approved annexation by Cleveland Heights Township; however, due to strong opposition from residents who wanted their own townhall built rather than annexed into another municipality (and who regularly heckled Comrade Mayor White every meeting since their objections were ignored), the incorporation process stalled again until 1913 when finally approvals were granted for both cities to share services thanks to then-mayor James Jankowski's promise not to annex any more municipalities without popular vote approval first. In 1968–69 planning began for downtown development led by developer Al Lerner; work eventually completed during the late 1970s resulting in significant changes including demolition/ reconstruction of muchhistoric buildings southwest of Third Street between Vine and Broad Streets) while also creating new streetscape features such as wide sidewalks running northsouth across First Avenue just eastof Library Square; enlarged parkland comprising nearly all or partof Fort Wayne Place between University Circle and Clinton Boulevard; high-rise apartment buildings at 5th & 7th Avenues westof Third Street; as well as an extensive retail district extending northeastfrom ThirdStreet out into Wexford Center mall beyond 5th Ave., southinto Intermediate District mall beyond 6th Ave., westinto added shopping areason Scioto Valley Rd./Northeast Extension Rd., and eastto Willowbrook Mall extension adjacentto Union Terminal

The first examples of gun lights were designed for signalling in the dark. Gun lights became common on military vehicles and boats during World War 1, as it was necessary to see in order to fire Weapons. In 1916, a British naval officer named Sir John Latham developed a light system that could beacons ships using an electric current. This device was known as the Latham Beacon and served until 1936. In 1917, American General George Smedley developed a projector-mounted light system called the “Smedley Light” which was used by Allied forces during World War 1. The Smedley Light System consisted of two main devices: a projector and a Fresnel lens. The Fresnel lens allowed for clear images to be projected onto small targets and allowed for targeting of artillery units with precision. During World War 2, the US Army began development of their own gunlight system known as the M2 Browning Automatic Rifle Light Device or BARLD (Browning Automatic Rifle). The BARLD utilized an armored mount with photodiode array technology that allowed for night firing operations without disturbing friendly troops below decks who were using starlights to engage enemy sailors at sea. Although not limited to firearms, gunlights continue to play an important role in law enforcement today due their ability to provide accurate illumination while also providing warning signs of potential danger or obstruction ahead of law enforcement officers or suspects

Beavercreek is an early American town in the heart of Ohio, located about sixty miles northeast of Cleveland. Settled in the 1790s by families from Pennsylvania and Maryland, the community rapidly grew during the 1800s as a result of its natural resources: coal and oil shale deposits along the Cuyahoga River. Beavercreek was originally named for Colonel John Beaver, who had served as commander of British forces at the Battle of Fallen Timbers in 1813. The area that would later become Beavercreek was also home to several other early settlements including Milltown and Dayton. By 1830, most of what would become Beavercreek had been acquired by Captain James Kapp, who built a log cabin on his farmstead near present-day downtown Beavercreek. The first school in what is now Beavercreek was established in 1827. During the late 1800s and into the early 1900s, much development took place in downtown Beavercreek; many businesses were founded or expanded their operations within this commercial district. In 1899, construction began on what is now known as "The Wall", an important landmark within Downtown Beaver Creekou

Beavercreek was founded in 1792 by George Washington and his family. The community grew rapidly with the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825, and it became an important manufacturing center. In the late 19th century, Beavercreek underwent a rapid growth as a suburb of Cleveland. However, during the Great Depression, Beavercreek lost its jobs and began to experience economic decline. However, since the early 21st century, Beavercreek has seen a resurgence in its economy as a bedroom community for Cleveland.
