Beachwood is a town in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,828 at the 2010 census. The town is part of the Cleveland–Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now known as Beachwood was first settled by English colonists who named it Beechstown after beech trees that were found there. In 1814, when the Indiana Territory was created from parts of Ohio and Kentucky, Beachwood became part of what was then called West Muskingum Township. In 1825, the township was split into two townships: Beachwood and East Muskingum Township. On November 3rd, 1830, Beachwood incorporated as a village. On January 1st, 1860, Beachwood became one of fourteen villages in Muskingum County when it merged with nearby Berea to form the new city of Cleveland. At that time it had a population of just over 500 people. In 1870-71 during an unprecedented agricultural depression caused by bad weather and low prices for farm goods due to tight money markets throughout most of America at the time (the "Great Famine"), much land in eastern Muskingum County went up for sale and many farmers sold their land to settlers or bought out other farmers in order to get cheap land which they could sell back quickly on credit to raise more money while they awaited better times. beach wood also experienced some very hard times during this difficult time as did many other small towns throughout America because no one wanted to buy anything from those that were selling their belongings left behind by departing farmers because they didn't want any compensation for what they had taken from these pioneer families who had built their homes hereabouts over hundreds if not thousands of years ago! One thing that Surf's Up Clothing store did have though during this difficult time was help provide employment for a few local residents including myself which helped us through some tough times!

Beachwood is a town in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,471 at the 2010 census. The first permanent settler in Beachwood was David Franks in 1811. Franks built a cabin on the edge of what is now known as Beachwood Lake. In 1814, he and his family moved to the more populated area around Lebanon and founded the town of Lebanon. However, due to land grants given by President George Washington to various families in 1792-93, Beachwood never gained much population or prosperity until after World War I when it attracted veterans from nearby Camp Butler who were searching for a new home. In 1922, negotiations began for the annexation of neighboring Parkersburg by Beachwood resulting in an agreement between Mayor John Fenton and Parkersburg City Councilman William Haughton that Beachwood would annex Parkersburg if Parkersburg annexed Beavercreek Township which had been hit hard by the stock market crash of 1929. This gave beachfront property located on both sides of Beavercreek Creek near where Interstate 71 now meets Beavercreek Avenue some hope that they might one day become part of their larger neighbor again. Though residents voted overwhelmingly against annexation in 1932 (62 percent against), it wasn't until 1957 when voters approved an ordinance granting township status to all unincorporated areas within Hamilton County including those along Beavercreek Creek as long as no taxes were levied on them without village approval. This allowed for development such as putty guns manufacturing and other small businesses to move into this undeveloped area which became known as "Beach Woods." As time passed however developers foundetermed easier ways to tax these undeveloped areas leading to increased traffic congestion and less business activity along with negative environmental effects from overgrazing through lack of fencing/planting restrictions which have resulted in beachgrassland becoming one of the most degraded ecosystems on Earth due to its ability to quickly regenerate following disturbance; beaches around Beach Woods are currently only accessible by boat during low tide or via kayaks during high tide so visitors are limited access while also limiting potential uses for this valuable real estate assets
