Today, Winchester Repeating Firearms Company still manufactures rifles and shotgun products under the name “Winchester” brand throughout North America

Bay is a small town in southwestern Ohio. The population was 5,853 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Portage, OH, Metropolitan Statistical Area. Bay was founded in 1836 by farmers John and Nancy Baynton. The village began as a tiny community on the bayou that ran through present day Bay Township. In 1870, Baytown replaced Bay as the name of the village. The Village of Baytown was dissolved in 1922 when it merged with neighboring townships to form what is now called Cleveland-Akron-Portage, OH. The village had no say in whether its name would be changed to Bay or Cleveland after it joined the metropolitan area. The city of Cleveland annexed parts of Akron and Portage counties in 1964, so all but one township (Bay) within Cleveland were annexed into the city limits too. In 2000, voters decided to change the name of their predominantly white town back to "Bay" after years of lobbying by residents who wanted to keep their identity separate from those within Cleveland's larger urban area
