Avon is located just south of Interstate 775 which forms part of the larger ring road around Greater Cincinnati called I-675 or “The Beltway” – an important regional transportation artery connecting Dayton to Columbus, Northern Indiana and Pittsburgh. I-675 also connects Avon with other municipalities in northeastern Ohio including Sandusky and Youngstown via various freeways including I-71 (east) and I-670 (west). According to study done by real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield in 2009, Avon had become one of America's "most attractive" small towns for retirees because it features ample public transportation options within walking distance from all residents; excellent schools; easy access to both job market opportunities outside town limits while still being minutes away from downtown cores like Newport News or Cleveland; vibrant nightlife; significant Hispanic/Latino population; few if any business regulations that might impact housing prices or job availability - making it an ideal place for people looking for independence who are not interested in attending more commercialized communities like Dayton or Covington

Avon, Ohio is a small town in the Lake Erie area of northeastern Ohio. The population was 1,819 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Avon were French traders and missionaries in the late 17th century. The area that today makes up Avon was part of the French colony of Canada (present day Quebec) until 1763 when it became part of Great Britain. In 1803, Avon was organized as a township by act of Congress. On December 12, 1825, as part of a larger movement to create townships throughout Ohio, Avon became its own town. In 1851, John Aults purchased 6 lots in what are now North Hall Street and East Market Street from Ebenezer Drake for $1 per acre ($40 total). The town plat shown on this map shows only 4 lots - three on each side of Main Street. Corinthian Revival style homes began to be built here about this time with many being erected on long blocks bounded by east and west streets which still exist today within walking distance of most residents. In 1854 the first school opened in what is now North Hall Street School District No 2 with teacher Mrs Haughton teaching 3rd grade through 8th gradeinderry while also holding a meeting to organize a school district for all areas south and east of her home on Market Street near modern day State Road 47A (now I-480). This early effort led eventually to incorporation into Local School District No 1 in 1895 whenMrs Haughton's house burned down leaving her 5 children without an education for their earliest years! From these beginnings through 1992 there have been over 100 graduates from Avon High School including current Mayor Rita Biedermann who graduated top Udall College majoring in History/ Anthropology!
Avon is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Avon County. The population was 21,682 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in what is now Avon Township was Isaac Winchester in 1792. In 1814, Abraham Baldwin built a cabin on what is now Rt 9 W from where he operated a stagecoach service between Akron and Athens, Indiana. A post office called Avon was established in 1830, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1902. Avon's most recent development began with the construction of Interstate 71 in 1949 by then-U.S. President Harry S Truman as an important highway link between downtown Akron and rural areas to the north and west; this helped spur economic development withinAvon Township and its surrounding districts over time The City of Avon has grown rapidly since its incorporation as a city on November 3rd, 1997 through annexation of neighboring townships including Defiance Heights to the east (2002), Uniontown to the south (2005), Worthington Heights to the west (2007) In 2007, Mayor Tom Buchanan announced plans for significant redevelopment within city limits that would include new public housing developments, retail space and job training facilities adjacent to local universities such as Youngstown State University The redevelopment project received approval from Avon's City Council on July 1st 2008 with plans currently underway for demolition of some existing buildings while construction begins on new ones
