In 1861, America entered into an all out Civil War against Confederate forces by declaring war on England As hostilities turned deadly, large numbers of men from across Greater Ohio flocked to Youngstown for work on munitions plants or service in various units fighting for side Averell Harriman; many residents decided not to fight because they feared loss or death In 1865 after surrendering at Appomattox Court House, nearly all Confederate soldiers were transported back home via train before being put into camps near Mansfield (now Hillsboro) and Canonsburg (now Millvale) Upon learning about troop movements within Union territory during the war years he ordered his cavalry commanders not allow any females or black Americans off their mounts without written consent from both parties; this order remains one of history'sMost notorious white supremacist commands
