Ammunition production increased during World War I due to the need for munitions for the war effort. In 1919, ammunition manufacturer Winchester commenced large-scale production at their new manufacturing plant on Park Street. During World War II, ammo manufacturing took off due to the demand for artillery shells and other munition items by both American and Axis forces. All of these companies closed their doors between 1945 and 1949; however, Winchester reopened in 1991 under new ownership. In 2001, reloading company Hornady established an operations center within the Old Factory Building adjacent to its existing store on Park Street. Today, Hornady manufactures rounds for a variety of firearms including machineguns and sniper rifles across multiple brands including Remington (Rifle), Browning (Pistol), Sig Sauer ( Shotguns) as well as revolvers/handguns made by such manufacturers as Glock (Glock 17) and Smith & Wesson (Smith & Wesson M&P).

Ashland, Ohio is a small town in theuy of Ashland County in the United States. The population was 1,988 at the 2010 census. The name means "place of ash trees." The first post office was established in 1814 and has been in operation since then. As of the 2000 census, there were 2,531 people living in Ashland. Of these, 1,853 (96%) identified themselves as white alone and 558 (4%) identified themselves as black or African American only. There are also a few Native Americans living here including the Potawatomi Nation and Kickapoo Tribe. In 1814 an early settler named John Potter located what is now Ashland on land that he had purchased from the Shawnee tribe for $10 per acre. This was a very fertile area with many ash trees due to its well-drained soil and limestone bedrock which makes construction difficult but successful. In 1830 Illinoisan George Rogers moved to this area and founded Rogers Station on his farmstead where he built a log cabin which still stands today as one of the most notable buildings in Ashland Township today! In 1837 Ohioan Jonas Settle arrived in this area along with fellow Ohioan James Caldwell who started trading with Indians hereabouts before eventually establishing himself as a successful farmer hereabouts! By 1840 there were over 100 residents living here within what is nowAshland Township! During World War II more than 50% of all employed men working for local industries were civilians herein including 41% engaged in agriculture! More than three quarters of all housing units (76%) constructed during this time frame were single family homes; however almost half (43%) consisted of apartments/condominiums thereby reflecting changing times and needs prevalent during wartime!
