These schools answered prayers for a lacklustre education system in central Ohio during this time period because only two high schools had been chartered since Western Reserve slid into bankruptcy four years earlier! US President Franklin D Roosevelt declared "Ohio's Colleges Open For Business" on November 4 1941 making these institutions available to students from all over America without having to worry about financial instability or possible closure due to low enrollment rates! The name change came about when Marshall Collegiate Institute becameBall State Univiversity with undergraduate student numbers swelling from 100 freshmen to more than 2200 by 1959! Additionally today there are more than 30 graduate programs at Ballstate Univiversity along with numerous research institutes/universities across Central Ohio thanks to our rich history!
