Many famous people have been associated with this shop including General Benjamin Butler, John Fenton,and Ulysses S Grant.In 1857, the armory was destroyed by fire and Anthony’s son took over the business. His son continued to make firearms until 1912 when it was sold to Burke Manufacturing Company who continued to make them until 1994 when they closed down.
Alliance is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the seat of Summit County. The population was 41,645 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbus metropolitan area and has a population growth rate of 2.8% annually. The city was founded by two brothers, George Washington and John Adams, in 1788 as a small trading post on the Scioto River between Dublin and Canton. The post served as an important transportation hub for goods to and from Philadelphia before becoming an agricultural center with mills around the bend on the Scioto River until it became outdated in 1824. In 1828, Alliance was incorporated as a village due to its importance statewide as a commercial center for grain shipments from Indiana via Cincinnati through Akron to Cleveland. In 1904, when Summit County was created, Alliance became its county seat and remains so today with a population of over 60,000 residents within its borders. With its large riverfront property along both banks of the Scioto River which made it easy to develop new businesses downtown including several large medical complexes; Alliance quickly became one of Ohio's most prosperous cities during this time period earning it nickname "The City on Two Bases." In recent years however some factors have begun to impact Alliance's economy while overall job growth has been stagnant or even negative across all major industries: growing residential populations outside of downtown (particularly north side neighborhoods such as Westgate Village); increasing competition from neighboring municipalities within Summit County that have seen their populations grow more rapidly than Alliance's; pollutants released by many local manufacturers (a result of dramatic increases in manufacturing activity) which has led to health concerns among nearby residents; increased construction costs associated with annexing adjacent suburbs (such as Beech Grove Township), which are seeing rapid job growth but continue to pose challenges for amenities such as public transportation; and suburban sprawl that leads away from town contentment towards larger communities that may not have similar amenities or support services available should things go south financially for those living there (e.g., Centerville). Despite these issues, any resident who knows what they're talking about will tell you that despite some difficulties there are still plenty of opportunities here if you work hard enough!

Penney Company merged with Sears Holdings Corporation to create Sears Roebuck and Co., which continued to be a major player in American retail for over sixty years until it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2011
