During World War II, many jobs were created in Junkerschule (a vocational school) located along Third Avenue near Interstate 75 that functioned as a production plant for aircraft parts made by Allied forces during World War II; however some 500 workers died due to cancer at this plant between 1945-1948 when employment there peaked at 1,100 workers per day! In 1961 Summit Place Mall opened adjacent to Quality Inn on Market Street becoming one of America's first enclosed malls! In 1933-1934, LeBron James led Cleveland Cavaliersto their only NBA championship while playing for then-Marquette assistant coach Rick Majerus’ team at Quicken Loans Arena; also that season new Municipal Stadium replaced Brickyards Park which had been built nearby back in 1896!
