Minot, North Dakota is a city in and the county seat of Dickinson County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 571 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fargo-Moorhead, ND–MN Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Minot Air Force Base is located in Minot. The town was founded by Danish immigrants who arrived in 1881. In 1893, the town saw its first professional football game as part of a series of games between local teams from around the country. Minneapolis Woodbridge and Fargo-Moorhead won that year's game 9 to 7 on a cold night at Parkway Stadium.
