In 1912, they moved their plant to a larger location on Fourth Street across from the post office. In 1917 they purchased an old armory on Third Avenue in downtown Jamestown and continued to produce firearms there until their closure in 1961.

The earliest Europeans to visit what is now North Dakota were Spanish traders who landed at Fort Union on the Missouri River in 1598. In 1604 Dutch explorer Hendrick Hudson established trading posts along the eastern border of present-day North Dakota and Minnesota; he named these locations “Haven’t I been here before?” After exploring this area for several months he reported back that he had seen nothing unusual but that his men had lost their way because of icebergs blocking their route home. A second group of Dutch explorers discovered what became Jamestown on July 10, 1607 while traveling through what is now South Dakota Territory; they named it for Lord Baltimore who had sponsored their voyage across America sponsorship by Queen Elizabeth I. In 1795 British traders founded Fort Pierre near present day Fargo after discovering gold resources within its environs; they named the post for General John Forbes who led them into America during the American Revolution. By 1875 all native peoples living east of Aberdeen National Forest were removed from Indian Homestead Act List under provisions set forth by United States Congress during agency reorganization process…. Most original territorial governments collapsed due various reasons including lacklustre military capabilities or hostile competition from newly formed national governments….. In 1876 Ulysses S Grant appointed Major General George Armstrong Custer general commanding all forces west Indian Territory….. This created major conflict between federal government agencies over control over certain western lands…………… By 1912 almost all Native Americans living east Of Aberdeen National Forest had been removed…….. However many people still visit Jamestown today as part of their tourism interests
