The business started out small but quickly began growing. By 1963 they had opened their first location in downtown Grand Forks. Bigham & Ladd soon became well-known for their high quality optics products and continue selling through various channels such as mail order and internet sales until their closure in 2003. During the late 1990s when DVDs were becoming increasingly popular among consumers across America, many people began using spectacle frames to view DVDs while wearing eyeglasses or contact lenses because it offered an additional level of protection from glare and reflections off televisions or other surfaces that could cause eye fatigue or headaches during long movies or video games sessions. Many people also found spectacle frames convenient because they could be worn either horizontally or vertically which allowed them to fit comfortably into any outfit no matter how tailored that outfit might be!
