Wilson has been home to many important events throughout its history including two major United States Supreme Court cases: Burton v. Texas (1963) and Griggs v.(1975). Additionally, Wilson has been host to several international events such as Expo '96 which took place here and WorldFest '99 which attracted thousands of visitors from around the world!
