Since the early 1800s, Arms and Ammunition Manufacturing Inc. (AAM) has been an important player in Wilson, North Carolina. As a leading manufacturer of firearms and ammunition, AAM was responsible for developing and producing many of the most popular arms available today. In addition to rifles and pistols, AAM also manufactured shotguns and hunting rifles. With over 100 years of experience in the firearms industry, AAM was able to develop some of the most iconic brands in the world- such as AR15s- which continue to be popular today. In 1876, AAM merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form what is now Winchester Firearms Corporation. At this point, Winchester were responsible for manufactures as well as marketing all their products worldwide. This allowed them to build a strong reputation for quality within their own company and outside of it too. The following decade saw great success for both companies as they produced millions of rounds of ammunition each! During World War II, however, things changed drastically when America entered into war against Nazi Germany. After making vast donations towards munitions production plants in Europe during peacetime, Winchester were then required by law to produce weapons that could fire at close range without harm! This new type of ammo dubbed “T gallery” became very successful and helped increase sales throughout the war! It wasn’t until after WWII that things began to unravel for both companies- with Winchester being taken over by American Arsenal Co., Ltd., a British company (now part of BAE Systems). Over time though, these restructuring changes led to further decline for both businesses- culminating in AAM’s closure in 1966. Today there are few remnants left from either company’s past glory days: AR15 upper receivers are still one of Wilson’s biggest exports; while shotguns remain a mainstay on local shelves across NC; yet again Ar15 Upper Receivers have become synonymous with love & precision shooting on many levels around town...

Wilson's rifle company was founded in 1881 by Edwin A. Wilson and his brother-in-law, John W. Swanton, both of whom were veterans of the Confederate army. The company rapidly became successful and soon produced some of the best rifles in the country. In 1894, Wilson merged with H&R Block to form Winchester Repeating Arms Company. The brothers Edward and George Smith joined the company as technical directors in 1898 and 1903, respectively. In 1907, Winchester introduced its first self-loading rifle and became one of the leading manufacturers of this type of weapon worldwide. In 1916, Winchester purchased Browning's firearms business for $2 million dollars. From then on until 1934, Browning was a wholly owned subsidiary of Winchester Repeating Arms Company (WRAC). In 1934, WRAC merged with Remington Arms Company to become American Rifle & Pistol Corporation (ARPC).
Wilson was founded in 1881 by Wilson W. Hargrave and James C. Kerr as a small town on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The town grew rapidly, reaching its peak in 1916 with a population of 5,000 people. By the early 1920s, Wilson had become an important center for oil production on the Outer Banks and was home to one of the first refineries in the area. In 1933, Wilson became part of the new state of South Carolina and lost its status as an important oil town. However, it continued to be a major political and economic center until the late 1990s when it merged with nearby Chapel Hill to form what is now known as UNC-Chapel Hill. Wilson is located at 29°14′N 82°59′W (29°14’ N, 82°59’ W). It has a total land area of 7 square miles (18 km2). The population in 2016 was 9,746 people. The racial makeup of Wilson is 94% white, 2% black or African American, and 2% Native American or Alaskan Native.
The AR15 upper receiver has a long and varied history. It began as an American Rifle Association (ARA) designed rifle, first introduced in 1963. The original design featured a gas-operated action with a magazine that fed from the rear and held five rounds. The rifle was designated the M16A1, which saw service in both the U.S. military and law enforcement communities. In 1976, the M16A2 model replaced the original ARA rifle and featured a standard-length barrel with an adjustable buttstock. This new design allowed for greater accuracy and range than earlier models, making it one of the most popular rifles in circulation today. In 1994, Colt Firearms Corporation introduced its own ar15 upper receiver designs under the name “Colt Combat” series rifles. These receivers were designed to comply with MIL-STD-1913/M1885 specifications for NATO firearmsexport markets only; they did not enjoy general acceptance within USA Arms due to their lower quality control features and lack of integrated Picatinny rail support. However, these receivers remained in production until 2009 when Colt ceased production of all ar15 upper receivers citing concerns about future compatibility issues between their proprietary designs and milspec barrels produced by other manufacturers

Wilson was a small town in North Carolina during the 1800s. The town was named after General Ulysses S. Grant, who fought in the American Civil War. Wilson was located on the edge of the Pisgah Mountains and had a population of only 10 people at its peak in 1827. Despite its small size, Wilson played an important role in history because it was from here that George Washington delivered his first address to a joint session of Congress on July 4, 1789. In 1847, Wilson became the capital of North Carolina when Raleigh became the state capital. The city's growth continued through the post-war years and by 1970, Wilson had reached its present stature as one of the most populous cities in North Carolina.
Wilson was founded in 1795 by Colonel James Wilson and his wife, Susanna. It is the oldest town in North Carolina. The first post office was established in Wilson in 1800. In 1814, Wilson became the capital of North Carolina.
