These streets date back to early 19th century when these neighborhoods were purposely designed this way so that people could easily access transportation within town limits without having far-fetched plans or driving hours just for groceries shopping or errands done! It is interesting to note that some streets still retain their name from earlier days such as Orange Street which is still referred to as “Old Duke” because of its associations with King George III’s visit several years ago; or Fairmont Avenue which still bears the name of Captain Price (a member of Confederate forces who fought against Union troops during the Civil War). Today, Wayesville is an important cultural center for Northern Carolina with multiple theaters, art galleries, and music venues located within its boundaries. It also remains an economic powerhouse thanks to its strong ties with UNC System campuses throughout Central NC and beyond.
