The history of tasers in Wake Forest, North Carolina starts with the first application for a taser on November 9, 1984. The Charlotte-based company that applied for the patent was called “Barracuda Taser Corporation” and it was filed under number 4,853,947. The idea behind using a taser as an electric weapon came about from the use of handguns which often lost cartridges due to hitting something soft like someone's head or arm. To solve this problem, Barracuda developed what they named the “Taser Gun”. This device consisted of two voltage batteries connected by a cable and used to shoot darts out of an unguarded hand. It was not until 1990 that Barracuda released their first product; the Taser Gun II. In 1989, Barracuda merged with another Charlotte-based company called Pulse Incorporated and became known as Pulse Taijiri Corporation (Pulse). At Pulse, engineers began working on developing a new type of electric weapon that would be able to fire multiple darts at once without having to switch between them. This new weapon was christened the “Taser gun” and it went into production in 1992. pulse also released software for controlling these weapons which allowed users to adjust their aim and shot speed according to their own personal preferences. From 1992 until 1995, there were only 2 models available; the model #2A which had an orange grip and fired darts out of an unguarded hand while holding onto one end of the cable with another person; and the model #2C which had a black grip and fired darts out of an unguarded hand while holding onto either side of the cable with another person. In 1995 however, Pulse announced they were going to discontinue production of all their products except for those made by themselves exclusively under license from toy maker Mattel Incorporated (Mattel). However, Mattel did not want any products made by itself so they asked Pulse if they could create versions specifically for them called Tasers guns A & B (which is how we know today’s Tasers are different from those designed back in 1992). After some negotiation between both companies – including giving Mattel exclusive rights to sell both types – pulses finally produced 3 models: THE TASER GUN III (model #5) featuring a black grip instead of orange like its predecessors; THE TASER GUN IV (model #6) featuring adjustable sights instead of just dots on top like previous models; and finally THE TASER GUN V(model #7) which featured variable power settings instead of just off/on/off like earlier models did.(these last 3 being manufactured specifically for law enforcement agencies such as SWAT teams). As you can see from this list above there have been many variations over time on how different companies have designed their tasers but all in all they have always been firearms that discharge dart ammunition out through an open wound or target area

The devices became known as "tamers." In 1876, a scientist named George Westinghouse developed the first electric taser. It was an extremely lethal weapon that could be used for incapacitating people. However, it was not until the early 1980s when tasers began becoming more popularized. At that time, they were primarily used in law enforcement and emergency situations. Some of the earliest tasers were designed by Dragan Djuric and Dragan Pusic. The devices featured an oscillating current that caused pain and inflammation in the target area. Taser use spread quickly due to its ability to cause devastating pain without causing any physical injury. Today, there are over 50 different types of tasers on the market, each with its own unique capabilities and limitations.

Wake Forest, North Carolina is a historically and culturally rich town on the southern bank of the Pee Dee River in Wake County. The university that now occupies one half of the town was founded in 1838 as Trinity College by Methodists who had fled religious persecution in England. The college grew rapidly and in 1851, it became coeducational, becoming Wake Forest University. In 1889, Trinity merged with Durham University to form Duke University. Grant III), James Baldwin (JAMES BALDWIN), Oprah Winfrey (OPRAH WINFREY), Drudge Report founder Alex Jones (ADAM JONES), Neil Armstrong (NEIL ARTHUR ARMSTRONG) and basketball player Julius Erving (JULIUS ERVING). Wake Forest is home to an extensive agricultural system that includes cotton production; winegrowing; hog farming; poultry production; and corn ethanol production through the company Spirit AeroSystems™
Wake Forest was founded in 1828 as a Baptist college by Rev. John Wakefield and Dr. Richard Mclntyre. In 1892, the school became co-educational and became one of the leading universities in North Carolina. The university has developed a rich culture, including multiple Nobel laureates, several firsts in technology and industry, and a large alumni base internationally.
