Gun lights have been a part of Tarboro history for many years. The first gun light in Tarboro was built in 1892 by S.W. Christian and W.G. Barnes, who were both engineers. They used a small brass globe to light up the street at night, helping to reassure people that they were not being followed or attacked. In 1924, the town officials decided to buy a new battery-operated gun light system from the company De Forest Firearms Manufacturing Company of Worcester, Massachusetts. This system allowed them to better protect their citizens during emergencies or when needed to enforce curfew laws. The gun lights continued to be popular in Tarboro until the early 1970s when they were replaced by digital bulletproof glass systems with sound activation capabilities

Each one has its own advantages and disadvantages which will be discussed below. Night Vision Gunsights: Night vision gunsights allow you to see things behind your target even when there is no moon or stars present. They can be helpful when hunting or shooting at night because you won’t have trouble hitting your target with your shots if you know where the object is located before trying to shoot it. However, some people find them distracting because they have to focus on getting close enough to see the target clearly rather than enjoying the view outside themselves. Red and Green Laser Pointers: These devices use lasers instead of sunlight or electric lightbulbs so they can run longer on battery power and provide more brightness than other type of flashlight sights alone. One disadvantageof using red & green laserpointers together like this is if either user becomes lost in what's going on around them- another advantage OF THIS TYPE OF SIGHT - NIGHT TIME OPERATIONS

Tarboro is a town located in Dare County, North Carolina. The population was 1,636 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Greensboro-Winston-Salem Combined Statistical Area. Tarboro has been inhabited by people since before European arrival in what is now North Carolina. The first white settlers were Baptist missionaries who traveled through the area in 1819 and found friendly Indian natives living among the Native Americans. When they returned to NC in 1821 they brought with them some plants and animals which may have helped inspire early development of the town name Tarboro after then-northern Virginia town of that name. The first buildings in Tarboro were log huts built by pioneer farmers on land donated by Captain Samuel Smith (1792-1871). In 1827, First Presbyterian Church was organized and soon began construction of its own building, which would serve as both church and school until 1906 when it burned down. That same year saw the founding of Tarboro Manufacturing Company, which produced items such as shoes, hats, clothing and other such products for local consumption or export. In 1840–41 Confederate troops destroyed several homes belonging to prominent citizens including Reverend John Settle (1815-1879), one of two black ministers serving in Dare County at that time; Rev A B Kirker (1829-1902), pastor at First Presbyterian; Mrs Alexander McClendon (died 1899), widow of General J C McClendon; Dr Prentice Allyn Funchess (1800-1881), Physician to Confederate forces during battle Of Gettysburg; Wm Fenton Welch (baptized 1796), farmer and planter from Elizabethtown who became a Methodist preacher; Asa Hutchinson (1799-) served as justice of peace for Dare County from 1861 until his death in 1875; Samuel Hance Sr., cofounder/manager/director of Hance Mining & Manufacturing Company - business started 1861 who later became president/CEO Browning Mines Incorporated headquartered here Ramseur Ave SW #1) Held annually at various locations around metro Greensboro over Memorial Day weekend starting Aug 1st thru 3rd each year this long running event features food Vendors lots rides hayrides etc
