The history of bipods can be traced back to the 1850s when two brothers, Elijah and John Magee, invented a type of walking stick known as a "bipod." The bipod was designed to help people walk in difficult terrain. It boasted a sturdy frame and was able to hold an individual's weight. In 1892, Elijah Magee patented the design for the bipod which would eventually become known as the Magee-Bennett bipod. The patent was later purchased by Edwin Bennett who popularized it on his television show "The Rifleman." After Edwin Bennett's death in 1966, his son Evan Bennett continued development of the bipod and introduced it into military use in 1971. Today, the device is used by millions of people all over the world.

In addition, mammalian brains are much smaller than those of other animals so a human’s brain is not as limited in its ability to learn new information as an animal with a less developed brain would be. Finally, bipedality also helps prevent Usher Syndrome – a condition caused by a lack of gravity – from developing in individuals who experience significant health problems like Down syndrome or cerebral palsy (Avery & Holtzman 1990).

Tarboro is a town in Onslow County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 2,822 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Onslow County and one of its two towns. The other town is Wilmington. The first settler in Tarboro was John Seward who founded the city on May 10, 1851. In 1861, Confederate General Robert Ewell established a camp here after overrunning Whiteville and destroying many homes and businesses there. After Union General Ulysses S. Grant's march through Onslow County on his way to battle at Gettysburg, Confederate General Beauregard decided to retreat to this location and ordered his forces to stop at Tarboro for supplies. Thereafter, Tarboro became an important strategic position within Confederate lines as it lay between Raleigh and Charlotte on the east coast and Goldsborough on the west coast; both counties had large production areas that were vital to Confederate plans for forwarding munitions from Wilmington along coastal shipping routes into Northern ports so they could be used against Union forces near Richmond. In 1865, following another victory by Union forces over Confederate troops at Appomattox Court House outside of Petersburg, Virginia (the last major engagement of the Civil War), Tarboro became an important center of military operations surrounding Petersburg until it was evacuated in 1865 due to orders from President Abraham Lincoln not to allow Rebel soldiers access to civilians living inside of the city limits without explicit permission from him or his generals. At around this time, tarps were placed over most of downtown buildings as a result of fears that Rebel shelling might damage them too much should they attempt entry into town during wartime times with such limited protection available nearby; however security lapses did occur occasionally throughout Reconstruction period when Confederates returned home after fleeing South Carolina or leaving their families behind while still technically members of a hostile government - leading some people to speculate that they may have been encouraged by their former masters in order to re-establish control over their own communities once again during this time period which would have allowed them more latitude in doing so than if they had remained Loyalists under new management (which would have been difficult since any such attempts would have been immediately reported back to Richmond). After Reconstruction ended with statehood for North Carolina in 1871,[2] local merchants began developing plans for what would become known as "The NewSouth," based upon increased cotton production opportunities opened up by newly acquired statehood combined with cheaper labor rates offered by Uncle Sam thanks largely to America's entry into World War I[3]. Ultimately these efforts failed because Southern farmers wanted continued rule by plantation owners rather than elected officials who might limit their exploitation; accordingly, Repeal Hall was built in 1922,[4] housing county commissioners instead of elected officials which helped reduce power struggles between local businessmen and county commissioners - both men held very powerful positions within society during this time period.[5][6] As early as 1925,[7] Tarboro had applied for zoning changes allowing it – like other small towns across North Carolina –to become "industrial cities" due primarily theretofore being used chiefly for agriculture or manufacturing products supported only partially or not at all by retail business activity beyond simple farm/manufacturing products selling directly onto local marketshare; however proposals were refused because industrial development adjacent potentially dangerous waterways constituted an undue threat both physically (dams needed for irrigation projects might go underwater if rivers got too polluted) and emotionally (Residents would frequently experience flooding associated with oil refineries located just upstream).[8][9][10][11][12] However after numerous appeals[13], including one brought before Governor Luther Hodges[14], approval finally arrived in 1928,[15],[16] granting Tarboro authority similar unto that granted neighboring Asheville then Loganville three years later; thereafter industry gradually migrated southward into what is now eastern Onslow County until present day whereupon most commercial activity takes place within downtowns generally limited area surrounding Interstate 95 north side only downriver from Wilmington MAX station - although several factories remain operational along riverfront including One Magellan Place Shipyard LLC which has produced furniture ever since its founding date back 1912 but has recently experienced financial difficulties due extending deliveries out past 100 miles);[17] (See also: History Of The City Of Raleigh)
