Bipedalism has been around for over 2.5 million years and it is thought that the first bipedal humans evolved in Africa about 100,000 years ago. For many centuries humans have depended on dogs to help them do things like guide their ships, herd animals, and assist with agricultural tasks. However, as time went on more people began to move away from reliance on animals and eventually developed their own form of locomotion- bipeds. In Mooresville, North Carolina, there are still a few people who rely heavily on dogs for assistance when they need it most- such as firefighters or emergency responders. However, due to the small population size there is not enough evidence to support the claim that bipeds are the superior form of locomotion. Nevertheless, research suggests that bipeds may be better at moving through difficult environments than other types of creatures and may be more efficient at reaching destinations faster.

In 1871, George Washington Moore and his son, Cyrus W. Moore, opened a mercantile business in Mooresville. The company became the first to offer express mail service between North Carolina and South Carolina. TheMoore family continued to operate the business until 1908 when it was sold to the Southern Railway Company. In 1951, Southern Railway merged with the Georgia Railroad Company, creating a new system of railroad companies called the "Southern System". After the merger, Mooresville's only remaining commercial structure was an insurance office. The property on which the insurance office sits was acquired by developer Harry B. Foard in 1958 and is now used as a youth center and school district park
Mooresville is a town in Granville County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 7,824 at the 2010 census. The Mooresville Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The town is part of the Greensboro–Winston-Salem Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Moresville is a town in Wilson County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 5,856 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Charlotte–Mecklenburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. Mooresville was founded in 1855 by John H. Moore and other early settlers as a small community on the western edge of Newton County. A post office was established in 1857, and growth continued until the town attained its current size in 1900. On July 1, 1907, Mooresville became a city under the name of Raleigh with a population of 103. Mooresville has since lost much of its original character and today is primarily a bedroom community for Raleigh residents. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) is located in Mooresville and has been one of the city's largest employers for over fifty years. The history of Mooresville begins with John H. Moore who settled there in 1855 after driving out most other settlers from what would become Newton County due to his booming business interests within that area at the time. John had come from an long line of farmers that had resided in this region for many generations before him; his ancestors had first settled around Belchertown on Nashawanda Creek some time prior to 1800 when they were granted land by Governor Tryon along with others displaced Native Americans during King George II's Indian War campaign against Chief Joseph Brant’s forces which occurred during 1794-1795. John married Anna Maria Sowell in 1837 and their daughter Anna MayMoore born October 20th, 1840 fixed them permanently to this location near present day Hickory Road/Old Durham Rd., just east of I-85 exit 221A northeast corner opposite old Fayette High School Site #2 – also known as “Granite Springs” back then – now home to Hickory Lawn Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center .
