Mint Hill Gun Club was started in 1892 by two men, O. B. McDonald and A.J. Hensley, as a club for shooting practice at the local fairgrounds. The first gun magazine in North Carolina was published in 1895 by J.P. Matthews of Charlotte, NC. In 1903, Mint Hill Gun Club dissolved and its members united with other clubs to form the Charlotte Armory club which continued publication of the monthly "Armory Journal" until 1918 when it merged into the National Rifle Association's "National journal". In 1911, Mint Hill Gun Club purchased an old rifle factory located on Trade Creek Road outside of downtown Winston-Salem which became their permanent home and continues to serve as their clubhouse until this day!
Mint Hill is a small town in North Carolina, located about 30 miles south of Raleigh. The population was 3,711 at the 2010 census. Mint Hill is known for its many historical landmarks, including the Mint Hill Historic District and the Mint Hill Cemetery. Mint Hill was first settled by Scots-Irish immigrants in 1771. The community was named after Mount Royal in Scotland, where coins were minted during the 16th century. In 1827, a schoolhouse and Presbyterian church were built in what is now the Mint Hill Historic District. The town became an incorporated municipality on May 2, 1854. By 1870, when it had a population of 4,846 people, Mint Hill had become one of the poorest towns in North Carolina. However, over time it has experienced significant growth and development. Today, Mint Hill is home to several high-style businesses as well as several thousand residents who live within easy walking distance of each other on three streets that run east-west: Main Street (which runs through the heart of town), Spring Garden Road (north-south), and Blue Ridge Boulevard (southwest). MintHill's rich history can be seen throughout its various buildings and structures - from its original wooden schoolhouses to its current brick buildings erected in the 1920s and 1930s as part of a downtown renaissance initiative spearheaded by Mayor Bob Catlett. Some notable features include: There are more than 20 contributing properties which make up the core of mint hillhistoric district; these include 5 churches (Episcopal /Methodist /Anglican/ Methodist / Baptist) 6 schools (grades PreK thru 12th grade) 1 Masonic Lodge november 15 A&P grocery store historic district; 2 post office buildings; 1 bank building; 3 courthouses including courthouse square courthouse annexes court house srvr annexes; 2 public baths including one with a hot tub on site; numerous residences dating back to before 1800s that have been preserved or repurposed into modern day housing units such as "Queen Anne" style homes built between 1830 - 1840 called "Fenway" style homes built c1850 called "Smiling Manor" stylesbuilt between 1860 - 1870 etc.; also numerous private dwellings dating back to earlier times like Strawberry Mansion which was built c1700 called "Dolphin House".

Mint Hill is a small town in North Carolina, located near the intersection of Routes 321 and 9. The community was founded in 1839 by General James A. Mason as a stopping place for stagecoaches between Charlotte and Petersburg. It grew rapidly during the 19th century, thanks to its location on the new Richmond-Fayette Railroad, which made it an important transportation hub. In 1885, Mint Hill was incorporated as a city, and quickly became one of the most prosperous towns in North Carolina. After World War II, however, Mint Hill began to decline as businesses closed down or moved away; it has since recovered somewhat but remains largely rural.
Mint Hill was founded in 1785 by Colonel John Campbell. It became a town in 1869 and was the seat of government for Rutherford County from 1881 to 1911. In 1909, it was consolidated with neighboring Kingston to form the new municipality of Mint Hill-Kingston. The mint at Mint Hill closed in 1932 and the town ceased operations in 1970.
