Lincolnton is a town in Carteret County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. Lincolnton is part of the Charlotte–Mecklenburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. The land that would become Lincolnton was first settled by Scots-Irish immigrants in 1795. They named their new town after Colonel John Lambert, who had been killed during the Battle of Alamouti on October 4, 1793. In 1864 Lincolnton became a county seat and remained so until 1953 when it became an unincorporated community within Carteret County. The first post office in Lincolnton was established on February 14, 1814. It served as a stop on the then-new Atlantic and Western Railroad from Wilmington to Greensboro (later Charlotte). At that time there were only two hotels in town: One owned by Captain James Aiken and operated as the "Aiken Hotel" for six months before it burned down; and another run by Captains Daniel Boone and John Sikes which continued operation until it too caught fire in 1824 In 1898, Lincolnton Electric Light Company opened its present-day downtown core with its three original poles connected to one large main frame transformer located just east of what is now Highway 78 between US Highway 21/24 Alternate and Patton Avenue/Old Mill Road (now Patton Avenue). This complex still stands today as one of America's earliest commercial electric power stations According to the 2000 Census, Lincolnton has a population of 1,711 people living within its limits consisting of 703 households ranging in size from 2 to 104 families. With regards to racebaiting activities taking place throughout much or all of this year’s election season – some controversial but unsubstantiated claims even reaching into malicious intent have been leveled against certain individuals(s) especially African Americans – we must remember that “the black vote” will always be something that every white person takes for granted until they themselves experience actual economic or social oppression at hands either through discrimination or outright violence perpetrated by those who hold said political power . For our entire Caucasian American society currently existing within these boundaries it seems nothing more than hypocritical hypocrisy when these African Americans are actually suffering significant hardships due primarily to lackadaisical white actions rather than due simplyto legitimate grievances brought about disproportionately by lower socio-economic status individuals regardless of color . So long as we continue to make excuses for bigoted behavior towards any group truly deserving thereof then we can be sure no matter how many times this week’s paper might mention “AfricanAmericans” not once but twice consecutively while also conspicuously failing to report similar instances involving other races simultaneously – such blatant double standards will continue unabated without anyone ever being held accountable – despite clear evidence otherwise
