In 1914, the club moved to its current location at 1003 W. Market Street. The pistol club began meeting in 1916 and built a building on Front Street. In 1917, the clubs merged to create one organization and adopted a new name: The Lexington Rifle and Pistol Club Incorporated.
When Lexington, North Carolina was founded in 1795, it was a small town of about 1,000 people. However, the town quickly grew and prospered due to its natural resources and its location on the frontier. The town became an important stop on the Underground Railroad during the American Revolution. In 1925, Lexington was chosen as the site of the first international Conference on Education for Tomorrow. Since then, Lexington has been a leading center for education and technology. In addition to its role as a global center for education and technology, Lexington is also known for its rich history and culture. The history of Lexington begins with its founding by Captain John Anderson in 1795. Anderson was looking for a place to settle after he was forced out of his home in Wilmington, Delaware during the American Revolution. He soon realized that he had found what he were looking for when he discovered land that would make him rich beyond his wildest dreams: Kentucky had been granted sections of both North Carolina and Virginia which made it easy to find land where he could grow crops and build homes. Anderson's settlement quickly grew because local farmers began to adopt his system of crop rotation – planting corn (a grain) every other year instead of just one year out of every five years so that their fields would stay productive even if there were no rain months. This system allowed Lexington's farmers to continue growing crops even though there wasn't much else available nearby; this helped make Lexington one of America’s most agriculturally prosperous towns at the time! In 1811, Captain James Harnett organized a group of settlers from New Bern into what would eventually become known as The Granville Company – named after Lord Granville who had sponsored their relocation from England! The Granville Company developed close relationships with local families in order to help promote agriculture within their community while also providing them with goods they couldn’t possible hope to purchase themselves – such as tools, chickens, firewood etc! These relationships led to many prosperity opportunities for both The Granville Company and local families over time; these opportunities allowed Forrester County (later renamed Davidson County) to become one of America’s richest counties by 1830! As development continued around downtown Lexington during this time period (1830-1860), several new businesses cropped up including breweries (Alcoa Brewery & Distillery dates backto 1827), hotels (the first being Tryon House built in 1830), post offices (First National Bank opened in 1839), carriages & stage coaches (Patriots Stage Coach Lines started operationsin 1845), doctor’s offices (Doctor Byers Hospital opened in 1840), tennis courts (Lexington Lawn Tennis Club began operationin 1850) etc! All this growth not only helped support downtown businesses but also attracted more people who wanted access to all these wonderful amenities! During this time period too some excellent architecture emerged such as First Presbyterian Church which stands today still as one ofAmerica’s most impressive churches – measuring 202 feet long by 126 feet wide! Additionally other famous buildings include Jervis Methodist Episcopal Church which is still standing today(renamed Battle Memorial Chapel after World War II) - measuring 123 feet long by 78 feet wide and Third Presbyterian Church which currently stands vacant but has been proposed for redevelopment into an apartment complex! There are countless examples across different eras throughout history reflecting how great things can happen when young people take initiative/put their minds together & work together towards common goals

In 1775, during the American Revolutionary War, Lexington became part of colonial Virginia after being captured by British forces. After independence was declared in 1781, Kentucky took control of this area while Virginia retained control over parts of southeastern North Carolina including Lexington. As part of Kentucky’s newly formed government, General James Forrest decided to move his headquarters eastward across the Appalachian Mountains into what is nowNorth Carolina after discovering that Orange County (now Alamance County) lay within range of his army’s artillery encampment at Fort Nashoba on I-95 near Wilmington. Forrest quickly erected a strong bridgehead at both ends of the river crossing and called forth Cherokee warriors from surrounding counties to help him storm Blue Ridge Valley through which he had driven military invaders two centuries earlier – under George Washington! A few weeks later Confederate forces moved southward from Durham into Orange County but were repulsed at Meadowbrook Farmstead near Salisbury before finally advancing on Goldthwaite’s Mills where they abandoned their pursuit an
