This Growth continued until about 1870 whenroads were built which made getting goods to market much easier; this drove down prices for goods sold locally and also contributed to the decline in local textile production which had been key to Lexington's economy since its founding. By 1920 only 1% of all jobs within city limits were related to textiles while almost 60% were related to services such as education or health care/health insurance companies. However this changed dramatically after World War II when many factories switched from traditional manufacturing methods (such as knitting needles) towards new technologies like plastics and aluminum products due to improved transportation conditions and rising wages throughout America- both abroad and domestically-. After years of steady job growth through the late 1990s until 2000s including a period where more than 50% percent employment within city limits came from services not related to industry (just over $1 billion worth), strong economic indicators announced earlier this year signaled that even with increased competition from Charlotte following Hurricane Florence’s landfall last September – overall textile production will continue into 2020 despite some losses – Lexington’s economy still remains quite healthy with nearly every job category producing income above poverty lines encompassing over 60%. The Cherokees were forcibly Removalists, meaning they wanted to leave the United States but were not allowed to do so by Congress. In 1838, the Cherokee nation was divided into two parts, one in North Carolina and the other in Georgia. The Lexington area became part of North Carolina because it was decided that moving the capital from Georgia would be more practical.
