Laurinburg, North Carolina is home to the world’s second largest gun lubrication company. The company was founded in 1907 by Major Samuel W. Pritchard and his brother-in-law, Julius Germann. Laurinburg Gun Lube has been operation since that time, and today it remains one of the leading firearms lubricants in the world. The company’s products have been used in a wide variety of military and sporting applications for over 100 years. In particular, Laurinburg Gun Lube has become well known for its exceptional penetrating qualities and their ability to keep firearms running smoothly for extended periods of time. Laurinburg is also a preferred supplier to some of the world’s most prestigious firearm manufacturers, including Beretta, Glock, Smith & Wesson and S&W OEMs such as Colt and Remington.

This was a mixture of sand and flour which was applied to the barrel and breech door areas. The advantage of this method was that it prevented rust from forming on the barrels.

Laurinburg is a town in Henderson County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Charlotte–Mecklenburg Metropolitan Statistical Area. Laurinburg is located on the Yadkin River and has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Climate Classification Cfa). The first white person to live in Laurinburg was Hugh Lawson in 1814. In 1839, David Harrell founded what would become Harrells Mills Village which included what is now Laurinburg. In 1845, J.D. White established White's Mill, which became the first town post office in the area. In 1865, Johnnie Loftus settled here and built his home called "Hardship". Loftus became one of Laurinburg's earliest entrepreneurs and had an important impact on its development as a center for cotton production. He also donated land to make up for any errors made during construction of his millrace road (later known as North Carolina 421). In 1899-1900 Ephraim Burritt erected a frame courthouse with Judge Burritt presiding over trials beginning on October 8th through November 11th 1899 from courtroom A1 on Market Street across from present day First Baptist Church which served as court house until 1907 when it burned down due to rust rot; this courthouse stood until 1915 when it was replaced by the current courthouse building that stands today.
