The King's Mountain Gun Lock Company was founded in 1872 by J.M. King and W.H. Harvell in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. The company manufactured firearms locks and keyed rifle locks from 1872 until 1934. In 1934, the company merged with the Darlington Manufacturing Company to form the Darlington-King's Mountain RifleLock Corporation. The company continued to produce firearms locks until it ceased production in 1989.
Kings Mountain is a small mountain located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The peak, elevation 7,515 feet (2,827 meters), is part of the Blue Ridge Mountains and dominates the eastern side of Kings Mountain National Monument. The monument covers an area of 6 square miles (15 square kilometers). Kings Mountain was first settled by Europeans in 1772-1774 as a trading post on Catawba River between Cherokee Nation and British Columbia. In 1819, when the Appalachian Mountains were formed, Kings Mountain became part of Nantahala County within South Carolina. It was transferred to North Carolina in 1828 with the creation of this state. The origin story for Kings Mountain begins with Nathaniel Macon, who led a group of Cherokee warriors from Tellico Valley against white settlers around 1772-1774. Heading westward through what is now western Georgia and west into what is now Alabama, he reached present-day Kings Mountain on November 3rd 1775 after days march over rough terrain that included battles with hostile Indian groups along the way. After reaching his destination he built a small cabin to house his people and withdrew back eastward to Tellico Valley where he began trading goods with European settlers for food and other materials necessary for his warriors’ resistance against colonial settlement efforts at Cherokee Town onthe lower Chattahoochee River near modern day Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1819 Kingstoun changed its name to Statesville after General James Kenedy's victory at Battlefields Creek Bridge over Yadkin River which brought about peace among Native American groups in central Virginia following years of warfare between these groups and English colonists during the Republic era (1689-1776). On December 1st 1819 Statesville was designated as one mile wide by President James Kenedy celebrating America's new nationhood two months after successful battle at Queenston Heights fought under General Nathanael Greene against British forces under Lieutenant Colonel John Forbes II commanded by George Washington himself; it marked an important turning point in Ulysses S Grant's military career as well as that of statesman Alexander Stephens who would become secretary of state later that year under George W Bush Sr.. At this time Statesville also boasted large cotton plantations employing up to 100 slaves per acre while other industries such as distilling whiskey continued to grow rapidly thanks largely to investment from slaveowners throughout antebellum America; today much off-road access remains available to visitors including hikes up nearby peaks such as Mount Mitchell which reaches 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) glaciated summit!

Kings Mountain is located in the eastern part of North Carolina, just east of the state line. The mountain is named for King George II of England who died there in 1760. The English settlers who arrived here in the early 1800s named the mountain after themselves (for example, Mount Mitchell). However, this name did not stick and was changed to Kings Mountain in 1828. The mountain is now a national park and a popular tourist destination. The first Europeans to arrive at Kings Mountain were farmers and their families from England who set up homes on what is now known as Plantation Road. By 1820, over 100 people had settled here and began development of the area that would become Kings Mountain National Park today. In 1828, King George II of England died at this location and his son, George III, took over his father's claim to the country. At this time, North Carolina was still part of Great Britain and there was no legal system in place to deal with such a situation. As a result, King George III decided to appoint an administrator for his area – one whose job it was to administer justice and protect settlers from Indians – called "the Governor." This man was Sir John Moore (later renamed Colonel John Moore). Moore moved his family into what would eventually become Kings Mountain when he assumed control of the governorship position in 1829-30. He installed himself as headmaster at nearby Morehead School while he awaited instructions from London on how to proceed with developing the area around Kings Mountain proper. Unfortunately for Moore, nothing came through until much later than expected; by then tensions between British settlers on one hand and Native Americans on the other had boiled over into open warfare. In September 1830 Virginians led by General Richard metaburn captured Chatham County Courthouse during skirmish hostilities along I-40 near present day Raleigh/Durham International Airport; subsequent news reports announced that Cumberland County Sheriff James Robertson had also been taken captive but release has yet to be verified due lack any physical evidence remaining from that period... On October 3rd 1830 General Richard metaburn recaptured Chatham County Courthouse during skirmish hostilities along I-40 near present day Raleigh/Durham International Airport while under command of Confederate Major General Edmund Kirby Smith... General Richard metaburn ordered all women prisoners released immediately upon capture without benefit of trial or compensation... Captured Negro woman identified as Jemima Watson became Mrs.Richard metamorphosed into Mrs.-GeneralRichard[1] At about 4:00 PM local time on September 30th 1830 two detachments organized by Confederate Major General Edmund Kirby Smith attacked two groups numbering 30 men each which included white farmers west of Hillsborough River including Captain William Hightower marching under provisions provided by MajGenRichardson[2]. A possible outcome could have been more bloodshed if Captain Hightower alone had fought against larger force instead of being surrounded as he did not expect resistance given previous engagements with similar numbersymphonySTILL UNKNOWN
