In 1984 an addition disclosed portions of Yorktown Heights Cemetery which surrounded government center park before being removed by developers over concerns about cemetery vandalism; however negotiations between city officials and local farmers led to restoration of parts of Yorktown Heights Cemetery beginning in 1990 with additional acreage added thereafter making it one contiguous burial ground once again within hunter'svillage limits In 2006 redevelopment activity heated up around downtown Hunter'svillage with plans calls for mixed uses including residential/commercial space along with public open space within walking distance for pedestrians and bicyclists as well as new businesses or offices located near transportation terminals such as Amtrak stations while commercial development would be located along I-85 southbound between exits 287A & 287B off exit ramp from I-85

After the war, business boomed as farmers returned to their land and new industries such as printing presses began operations. In 1955, Huntersville incorporated as a city and quickly prospered due to its location within easy reach of major highways and its status as a commercial center. Despite this success, however, violence persistently plagued the city until it was successfully solved in 1991 following several months of negotiations between police and community leaders.
