Downtown High Point contains several centuries old brick buildings dating back to before European settlement while much newer sections contain some recent development including highrises built by Summit Homes Communities Inc., a Lennar Company affiliate since 2007; H&R Block headquarters since early 2009; Red Lobster restaurant located at One Beltway Plaza; Marriott Marquis hotel opened in fall 2009 adjacent to IHW stadium across from Arena College campus; well over 100 businesses have properties within 5 miles (8 km) of downtown serving nearly 11000 residents usingncitywide street parking garages available on Armoury Drive & Selma Road (& limited number off Armoury Drive). A full-time City Manager position has been established with responsibility for planning economic development including community meetings, coordination between various departments such as public works & engineering etc., developing budgets galore In addition there are numerous food services such as Chick-fil-A (opened 1990), Subway sandwich shop (opened 1984), BJ's Pizza ($) ($) ($) (), Papa John's ($$)), Dunkin' Donuts ($) ($) (), Wendy's ($) $$$$, KFC ($$)), Dairy Queen ($) $$$, Hero Burger $$$$$$.
