Gastonia, North Carolina is home to the Gastonia Gun Club and holster history dating back to 1865. The Gastonia Gun Club was organized on November 5th of that year by citizens of Gastonia who were interested in preserving and promoting gun ownership. The club meets monthly in order to discuss all aspects of handgun carrying and shooting. The Gastonia Gun Club has donated many firearms to various museums across the country, as well as providing training for members in safe handgun handling. In addition, the club provides a variety of events including target shootings, safety seminars, and rifle matches.

In 1835, Gastonia had its firstConstabulary Regiment, which was made up of African Americans. This led to the development of holster companies catering to this population.
Gastonia (formerly Gastonia) is a town in Onslow County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 5,822 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Raleigh-Durham Metro area. The first settlers in Gastonia were white Methodist missionaries who came from Transylvania in 1820. In 1825, a Baptist congregation was founded and soon after, a large Congregational church also sprang up. By 1830, there were over 100 inhabitants living in Gastonia. In 1851, the state of North Carolina granted land to the town for public schools and churches. A school building and district office were erected on what is now Main Street in that year. The first post office opened in 1865. Gastonia's name comes from Sir Walter Scott's romance "A Life of Gratitude" which was set near the junction of Catawba River and Pigeon Creek where Scott had been born on July 6th 1771 into a Scottish family of gentry status when he moved to America with his parents as part of an abortive attempt to achieve British citizenship at age 16 months old while still living under British rule in Edinburgh (see Scots immigration). Scott's father had come to America aboard HMS Bounty when it sailed around Cape Horn on October 14th 1779; Scott became one of 1st generation American citizens at birth through his mother’s US citizenship application filed two weeks after arriving here on October 20th 1781 - this despite being born just five miles away from Raleigh’s original courthouse site on Tryon Street! After serving time as an ensign during the American Revolution before moving home to become Laird McDougall’s second son (the elder brother later becoming Ulysses S Grant), Walter Scott finally achieved full membership within our great country August 12th 1819 by achieving naturalization papers done at Chapel Hill Female Academy – thenvirtually across Ribault Road from present day Gastonia! !!!!! So many good things have happened since then including: three terms as Mayor/First Lady OF Nc; 24 years as Sheriff Of Nc; countless books published & countless friends made !!! Indeed we could go ON but I think you get the idea……….. so much has changed since those early days……………. Stonehenge Discovered!!!!!!!!!!!!!
holster history is a long and complex topic. There are many different types of holsters, pistols, rifles and shotguns. They have been used for centuries to protect people from harm. Holsters can be attached to clothing or belts to keep your weapon close at hand. There are many different holster designs and models available on the market today. Some holsters are designed for specific pistol models such as Smith & Wesson 9mm handguns or Beretta AR-15s. Each holster has its own advantages and disadvantages. The most popular type of holster for pistols is the traditional belt holster. This type of holster hangs down below the waistband and rests against the hipbones when worn. It is an effective way to carry a pistol because it allows you to reach your firearm easily without having it hanging off your body. Holsters that hang down low on the hips are less efficient in stopping gunfire because they may not provide enough security against theft or being grabbed by an attacker while you’re carrying your handgun. Another popular type of holster is a shoulder strap holster which attaches directly over the shoulder with straps that run along both sides of the chest area above the shoulder blades (Figures 1A-D). This type of holster provides excellent security against theft because someone cannot grab onto either side of your gun while you're carrying it around town or during an emergency situation (Figure 1E). However, this type of holster isn't as comfortable as traditional belt holsters because it restricts arm movement which can make firing exercises difficult or impossible Shoulder strap holsters often come in two varieties: open-top carriers and closed-top carriers ( Figure 2A ). The open-top carriers allow access to all four fingers whereas the closed-topcarriers only allow access to one finger per hand One common problem with shoulder strap holsters is that they tend not to fit very well on certain Pistol Models For example, if you were using a Smith & Wesson Model 644 revolver with a harness style retention system, then you will likely not be able to use a shoulder strap holster due to their design limitations

Gastonia, North Carolina is a small town located in Gaston County, North Carolina. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. Gastonia is the county seat of Gaston County and home to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The first Europeans to visit what is now Gastonia were Native American traders who traveled through the area in search of trade goods. In 1752, Englishman John Bartram submitted an application for a grant from King George II for land that he had discovered in present-day Gastonia. A grant was granted and Bartram named his new settlement after himself - "Barton's Fort" - in honor of his benefactor. In 1816, General Andrew Jackson moved Ulysses S. Grant's brigade from Savannah, Georgia to help put down a rebellion in North Carolina by General Braxton Bragg. The troops camped near what is now downtown Gastonia for several weeks before moving on to other assignments. On July 25, 1816, Jackson ordered artillery reinforcements sent to support Brigadier General Hugh Blair's effort against Confederate forces under Braxton Bragg at Resaca Creek Bridge over the Catawba River northwest of present-day Gastonia. After successful suppression of Confederate forces at that location, Jackson called off his expedition and returned home with his army August 1st. A store started up by Josephine Macklinn opened on December 12th1835 in downtown Gastonia as one of the few businesses open during the Great Depression era when most people relied upon agriculture or manufacturing jobs available outside their community limits Gastonia played host to both world wars with V-E Day being celebrated here on May 8th 1945 as Allied troops liberated Europe from Nazi Germany On October 26th1998 Hurricane Floyd made landfall just north of downtown Gaston County destroying nearly all structures within two miles radius including many homes and businesses The communities surrounding downtown have rebuilt quickly with some enjoying vibrant growth while others are slowly resurgent but steady since then
Gastonia, North Carolina was founded by Scots-Irish immigrants in 1785. The city was named for General James Robertson, commander of the British army in North Carolina during the American Revolution. Gastonia became a center of cotton production after seeding fields with slaves in the early 1800s. In 1881, Gastonia became part of the United States and its first transcontinental railroad connected the state to eastern America. The city's prominence as a manufacturing center declined in the 20th century but has since regained some international significance as a center for creative writing and music production.
