Open Book Targets continued to be manufactured through World War I until production ceased due to World War II; however they were still occasionally seen being brought back into use during later wars (e.g., Korean Conflict). By 1957 all Open Book Targets had been discontinued except for some occasional historical display purposes; this occurred when UNC decided that replica firearms would no longer be available from overseas sources so all old Open Book Targets must go! It remained an important node in South Carolina's economy until the early 20th century.
Carrboro is a city in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 17,569 at the 2010 census. The city is part of the Charlotte metropolitan area. Carrboro is one of the oldest cities in America and was founded on May 10, 1795 by Revolutionary War veteran and entrepreneur James Fenton. The present-day Carrboro community originated as a small farming village located on several acres of land near what is now downtown Carrboro. The first permanent settler in Caroline County was Philip Pickens who laid out a plan for the town on November 3, 1814. He named it Pickensborough after his father-in-law Samuel Johnston who had settled there two years earlier. While Pickensborough continued to be used as a local name through most of its history, it came into use as an urban name for the first time on October 15, 1835 when John Randolph became Mayor of Raleigh following his election as Governor of North Carolina from that state. Randolph decided to move the seat of government from Raleigh to what would become Carrboro due to concerns about growth in Raleigh and its impact on nearby towns such as Matthews and Hillsborough. However, until 1865 when Wake County joined Durham County – which included Chapel Hill – Carrboro remained within Mecklenburg County only slightly changing location before continuing its current course downriver towards Burlington District (now Durham). In 1870/71 Confederate General Jubal Early arrived in eastern North Carolina during the autumn campaign seeking refuge from Union forces encamped alongthe Yadkin River near Kinston; heading northward then eastward across South Carolina border before reaching Mecklenburg Parish where he found shelter at Plantation House until he could cross over into Virginia early next year Early's capture effectively ended any hope that Confederate forces might reach Raleigh before winter set in; but events subsequent to his appearance put renewed urgency on efforts by both sides to reestablish friendly relations with each other leading directly to Civil War hostilities Interstate 95 bypassing Carrboro finally completed just prior to World War II making it possible for more people and businesses closer to major markets with less daily hassle Some aspects which have persisted through these various changes include African American working classes living cheek by jowl with white middle class citizens until integration began almost half a century later while also witnesseship has granted Carrington residents access unprecedented levels of public education including attending college away from home .Today’s city park occupies much of what were once small farms adjoining downtown offering unique natural resources including rivers running through downtown cores surrounded by dense forests providing significant environmental benefits

The town was founded in 1795 by Jno. Carr and wife Martha as a place for farmers to market their produce and raise livestock. Carrboro's first post office opened in 1801. It was renamed Carrboro in 1882 after General John A. Carr, who fought in the American Revolution and then served as a U.S. congressman from NC from 1795 to 1800 and again from 1806 to 1819 before dying at age 74 years old on October 25, 1830
Carrboro was founded in 1795 by Captain John Carr and his wife, Susannah. The town was named in honor of General Sir William Carr, who had fought in the French and Indian War. In 1838, the town had a population of about 100 people. In 1861, Confederate soldiers burned down the courthouse and all other buildings in Carrboro. One year later, Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered at Appomattox Court House. 93% of Carrboro residents were slaveowners when Union troops captured it on April 9, 1865.
