In 1957(), Harrisonburg Township annexations also included parts of Beacon Hill (). White Plains has been home to major league baseball teams since 1903 when Buffalo Bisons played their first game at Yankee Stadium then known as Collins Park before moving to High Point Coliseum in 1905 after playing their games outdoors for two years at Saratoga Springs Armory while they built new ballpark nearby (the current Shea Stadium). The Boston Red Sox played their last game in 1923 at Fenway Park before moving to Boston with newly renovated stadium called "The Garden". The Brooklyn Dodgers played their last game at Ebbets Field before moving to Los Angeles where they remain today as part of MLB history
