Valley Stream, New York has a rich rifle history dating back to the Revolutionary War. The town was founded by Dutch immigrants in 1777 and quickly became a center of gunsmithing and ammunition production. Valley Stream was also one of the first places in New York State to approve firearms licensing laws. The first rifles used in the Revolutionary War were muzzle-loading pistols made by Nicholas-Jacques Cartier. In addition to hosting several gun shows per year, Valley Stream is also home to two Arsenals – one dedicated solely to NRA research & development products; the other houses more than 1,500 rifles from all over the world!

They founded Gloversville on an isolated peninsula overlooking Lake George about three miles due east of present day Main Street . By 1800 there were over 500 residents living here including many families with ten or more children . Many early settlers came from northern England via wayfinding provided by Captain David Livingston who could sight recognizable peaks near Mohawk village while sailing upriver . Valley Stream is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 9,848 at the 2010 census. Valley Stream is located on the north shore of Lake Ontario and east of Buffalo. It is bordered by the towns of Geneva to the south and North Tonawanda to the west. The first settlers in what is now Valley Stream were farmers who arrived from Pennsylvania in 1795. They named their community after stream they found near their farmstead called Vallecito Creek. In 1810, a group of Dutch-speaking immigrants settled here and started a tannery. They also purchased some land around what is now Valley Stream for farming purposes. In 1834, John Aitken organized a local school district which included Valley Stream and other villages within it. The first post office was established in 1836 with Wm Hickey as its first agent. In 1868, Anthony Jervis bought land southwest of present-day Valley Stream from Peter Kropotkin for $5,000 cash; this area became known as Kropotkin Park after him. In 1916, he donated 7 acres (2 hectares) to the town for use as a public park that still exists today. In 1928–29 during Prohibition era valley stream lost its liquor license but did not lose its drinking tradition which continues to this day at many local bars/restaurants including "Sourdoughs" on Main Street.. Valley Stream also hosts two annual music festivals: "Geto Boys" Festival in June & July and "Rocky Balboa" Festival in October or November
