Valley Stream, New York is home to one of the oldest pepper spray production plants in the United States. The plant was established in 1898 by George W. The valley that forms Valle stream was first settled by Europeans in 1614 when Giovanni da Verrazzano discovered it while exploring what would become New York. By 1785, settlements had grown around Valle stream with about 100 people living there. In 1807 John Armstrong founded Armstrong's Mills which became one of the largest mills in America. The milling industry declined after World War II but has been revived recently as a result of new investment and development. Valley Stream has also become known for its annual apple orchard festival which is held in late September or early October and features over 50 different types of apples from all over the world including honeycrisp Apples from California; golden Delicious apples from Ohio; red delicious apples from Missouri; Rome d'Oranges oranges (a cross between a Valencia orange and an Italian Orangutan orange); Niagara glazed carrots; imported cheese;and many other items made during the Festival

Valley Stream is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 10,868 at the 2010 census. Valley Stream is northeast of Buffalo and southeast of Rochester. The name "Valley Stream" likely comes from the Delaware River and its tributaries flowing through the area. The stream's watershed includes parts of four counties: Erie, Niagara, Ontario and Wayne; as well as several townships within those four counties. Valley Stream was first settled in 1796 by farmers from Catskill Township (now Scranton) in upstate New York. In 1814 the town was created from part of the village of Harmony along with other villages in what is now Niagara County. In 1827 the townships of East Aurora and Seneca were added to form Seneca-East Aurora Districts No. 1 & 2 on the west side of Lake Ontario; these districts were abolished in 1898 when they were combined into Onondaga County under then-County President James Kavanagh’s direction as part of an effort to reduce central government control over rural areas. When consolidation became mandatory due to statehood would take place one year later, Onondaga County divided Vallelystream into two separate townships – North Valley Stream on the east side near Buffalo and South ValleyStream on the west side near West Seneca Falls – which remain today separate municipalities despite sharing only a small amount of economic development together since amalgamation began more than half a century ago. During World War II much activity took place at Derby Airport adjacent to present-day Valley Stream where troops flew supplies into war zones across Europe before arriving home via commercial flights; demand for foodstuffs such as airplane gasoline also contributed to wartime production there at various sites throughout eastern New York including Derby Airport itself until it closed in 1957 operations amid budgetary constraints brought about by changes in military doctrine after World War II had ended. Afterward many people moved away from valley stream because they found jobs or homes elsewhere while others Preservationists endeavored to keep much valuable historical evidence closely associated with valley stream while attempts were made to attract new residents or businesses that could add value to what remained despite some vandalism during this time period
