Tarrytown, New York is a small town in upstate New York that was once home to a large arsenal of firearms. The Tarrytown Armory was built in 1868 by Major General Nelson A. Miles and continues to serve as one of the original gun magazines in the United States. The magazine has been used for both civilian and military purposes since its inception. The first guns manufactured in Tarrytown were single-shot cannons salvaged from British warships. The guns were made into pistols and rifles, but they remained essentially defence against sea warfare until after World War I when development of airships led to an increased need for naval gunfire support on land. These pistols featured a striker-fired action with adjustable sights and were chambered for .380ACP rounds which replaced handguns then beingproduced for ballistics testing purposes only such as target shooting and self-defense use by police officers and other law enforcement personnel who preferred smaller calibers over larger ones due to their greater lethality at close range or through clothing since melee combat could not be ruled out even with modern Weaponized Equipment (WEAPON). In 1936,the American Arms Manufacturing Corporation (AAMCO) became operational at the armory offering complete line of handgun products including revolvers, semi-autos, shotguns, handguns and rifle ammunition while also manufacturing firearms parts including barrels (.45 ACP), actions (.357 Magnum), stocks (.20 Gauge) and various 1911 type grips/stocks/frames etc., among others until his retirement effective Dec 1st 1978; Harry "Hap" Arnold who had joined AAMCO as Vice President Sales & Marketing July 1935 - Sept 1938; continuing until he retired effective March 31st 1980 having served there from Mar 25th 1934 thru Jan 3rd 1981 inclusive; Hap Arnold's successor was Don Weisenthal who served as Vice President Sales & Marketing Feb 1st 1981 thru Dec 30th 1982 succeeding Hap Arnold

While many aspects have changed over time - including gentrification - most aspects remain unchanged: The narrow streetscape is one reminder that these villages were primarily created for economic development purposes only - not for recreational use or cultural attractions like museums or art galleries.
