From 1918-1921, an amusement park called Crystal Beach was located inSpring Valley and offered free admission to residents of the town who could bring their own glasses or get them from the store. In 1928, a movie theater called The Majestic opened at 5th Avenue and South Park Road in Spring Valley and featured Griffith’s Western movies as well as new releases from Hollywood studios such as Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Paramount Pictures. In 1933, the United States Post Office moved into its current location at 501 Main Street in Spring Valley and began using binoculars for postage stamps which continue to this day!
