Sleepy Hollow is a small town in upstate New York, located on the border of Erie and Niagara counties. It is bordered by the towns of Tonawanda to the east, Hamburg to the north, and Canada to the west. The population was 9,000 at the 2000 census. The first documented reference to shooters ear plugs can be traced back to 1847 when Major General James Wilkinson ordered his troops not to fire into Indian camps if they could avoid it. This order caused some Native Americans in Sleepy Hollow to take cover behind their homes instead of coming out and trading goods with British forces. In 1851, A Company of United States Marines was stationed at Fort George Clinton near Niagara Falls. One day while they were eating breakfast, two sailors from HMS Beagle came ashore and asked for passage across the river. The Marines refused because there were no bridges over the falls until after dark. One sailor then pulled out a knife and started stabbing people on both sides of the river before being killed by one Marine using his bayonet. The other Marine quickly grabbed him and threw him into an alleyway where he died from his injuries without ever getting caught up in combat again. A few years later, Captain John Smith traveled through Sleepy Hollow on his way back from a peace treaty with Seneca Indians in Canada. He stopped at a local inn while he was passing through town and ordered one of its waitresses—the future Mrs. Fenton—to put some ear plugs inside her ears so she wouldn’t be heard if somebody tried to attack them during their stay in town (she did this successfully). In 1874–75, Captains Augustus Dowell and Alfred Schieffer also stopped at Sleepy Hollow while on their way from Buffalo downriver towards Kingston (now Buffalo). When they got there they went into an inn where Captains Dowell had been staying before starting his journey downstream that night; according to legend even today people who go into Gowanus Creek near downtown New York City cannot swim without getting wet becauseCaptainSchieffer left money onshore for anyone who succeeded in swimming across during daylight hours- ensuring that everyone could enjoy themselves provided they stayed dry! Shortly thereafter Earplug manufacturer Goudreau & Co.—founded by French immigrants Pierre Goudreau and Charles-Emmanuel Goudreau—started making ear plugs specifically for shooting sports enthusiasts called “Goudreau plugs” which became known as Shooter Ear Plugs due to their unique design which resembled those used by shotgunners during firearm range use (& still seen use occasionally today). In 1886 Goudreau plugged an American Rifleman named Hiram Peck who had won a gold medal at Copenhagen Olympics for shooting targets outfitted with iron sights & iron points along with Mr Higginson's recoil compensating rifle stockings which allowed him shoot any target within 25 Yards without taking off his gloves! In 1899 gunmen Jeremiah O’Connell & Michael Collins ambushed Captain John Jervis outside Clifton Forge Military Reservation whilst he was returning home after Eid al-Fitr festival; jerry shot three rounds offcaptainJervis' shoulder before fleeing empty handed! On July 10th 1902 two shots rang out outside residence of Dr Alexander Macdonald just past exit 4 onto Main Street; resident Mrs MacDonald ran outside barefoot screaming & waving her arms trying unsuccessfully vainly To stop Susie From Shooting At Her Father Who Was Only defending himself After Being mugged 3 times earlier That Day By 2 White Men!! now known as "The Night Of The Long Knives" event that led directly To Outbreak Of World War 1!!!

Over the years, the club has donated many items – such as furniture and books – to various libraries and museums throughout New York State. Today, the Women's Club of America remains an important part of Sleeping Halloween history by hosting events such as storytelling nights and Witch-hunt Days during which participants dress up in historical costumes to learn more about this celebrated holiday
