These epidemics are considered some of the deadliest ever recorded on Earth due to their severity and rapidity. During Tiberius' rule also saw construction of major roads including Via Aurelia which connected Milan with Rome; Via Cassia which linked Roma with Naples; Via Livia connecting Florence with Ravenna; Colosseum ; aqueducts such as that at Colle Oppio which supplied water to all parts of Rome except Herculaneum; public baths such as those at Aqua Virgo near Vatican City; coins minted during this time featuring images or biblical characters such as Samson or Jesus Christ
