The new station consisted of two buildings on Main Street: one occupied by the post office and store while the other functioned as an engine house with room for four locomotives. The Growth Company Railroad built three tracks through town between 1870 and 1872 making it available for further development without having to go through Buffalo or Albany again; this brought about large-scale manufacturing within our borders for the very first time – something that has continued up until present day!
