This manufacturing tradition continues today at our company's facility in Saratoga Springs, NY. Scope mounts have been used throughout history for a variety of purposes including target shooting, bird watching, military photography, Surveying/Mapmaking/ Aerial Photography/Viking Archaeology etc., but their original purpose is still unknown. One theory suggests that they were originally designed as back-up sights for firearms during the early days of mounted warfare when accurate sighting was not possible from behind cover or while firing through thicket or undergrowth; however this theory is not supported by evidence available either from historical sources or modern research on scope mounts themselves! Today there are many cultural attractions within walking or biking distance including The Garrison Museum - which tells the story of American Revolutionary War general Lord Howe's occupation of Fort George - The Alexander Hamilton House - home to one of America's first public libraries - as well as several restaurants and bars which offer excellent food options without breakingthe bank.
