A plunger-activated device inserted through an opening at one end of the lock nut allows it to be turned clockwise or counterclockwise as needed to secure the handgun against accidental discharge or theft (Figure 1). Pistollocks are now also used for shotguns and rifle rifles.

In 1925,Plattsburgh became a member of New York City and has since been one of its most vibrant neighborhoods.
