In Africa, Homo erectus had two-legged walking as early as 350,000 BC. In Asia and Europe, bipedalism spread through the domestication of animals and humans began to walk in pairs or fours. In the 1800s, people started using horses for transportation and began to ride on their hind legs. As horses became more efficient at running they were also used for cavalry work and other tasks that required speed and agility. The development of bicycles allowed people to travel faster than ever before. However, some scientists believed that bipedalism was not necessary for efficient locomotion because elephants could do the same job better on their feet. After years of research, it was realized that elephants can move very quickly on all four limbs with great agility when compared to horses or other mammals. As a result of this study, many scientists now believe that bipedality is an advantageous trait for humans because it allows us to have greater speeds and Agility in comparison to others species

One reason is that we have been able to survive in difficult environments where other animals cannot because we have developed our own set of abilities that allow us to overcome obstacles and navigate our way around obstacles. Our body has also evolved so that it can hold up against multiple blows without dying; this allows us to be successful leaders and warriors which has led us into many conflicts throughout history. Additionally, due to our recent development of technology we have been able to learn howto manipulate objects with our hands which gives us an advantage over other creatures when it comes time for combat or exploration

Ogdensburg, New York is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 8,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded by General John Forbes on what is now called the Forbes Farmstead site in 1788. The name Ogdensburg originates from an Indian word meaning " watering place." In 1814, the Oswego Canal was completed and brought much-needed water to Ogdensburg from upstate New York; this helped make Ogdensburg one of the most important towns in Erie County. The first store in Ogdensburgh opened in 1824 and soonBecame a popular destination for traders and travelers alike. By 1850, there were six stores and three hotels in Ogdensburgh; these days, only one grocery remains open in town (the local feed store). By 1870, the population had increased to 1,500 people and several mills had been built along the canal. In 1879, a fire destroyed most of downtown Ogdensburgh but did not cause any damage to any buildings other than those used as dwellings or businesses; this event is generally considered to be the beginning of the city's current form. In 1902, when Niagara Falls became an incorporated city with its own government separate from that of Erie County, all business activity within boundaries of Niagara Falls ended except for that conducted by Citizens' Bank which still operates out of their old building on Main Street today (it closed its doors in 1984). In 1911-12 both municipal courts were moved from their original locations due east of Main Street into new brick buildings at First Congregational Church until they were again moved back into their original locations after World War II because they no longer could meet demand (this relocation also caused two churches off Main Street - Presbyterian Church (1891) and Baptist Union Church (1911))). After years Of wrangling over property lines between City/County line entities (& various annexations), finally all aspects of civic life within Municipal limits--from elections & zoning thru infrastructure maintenance--were combined under one roof effective January 1st 1994 thru December 31st 2009 inclusive... This included (*but wasn't limited to*) establishment/operation of emergency services including ambulance service; development/maintenance/replacement/upgradation/modernization/creationof parks & recreation areas; creationof special taxing districts FOR RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS ONLY & WATER UTILITY FACILITIES ONLY & Town Meeting becoming effectively non-partisan thru passage OF Charter Amendment No 2nd Session 2011 pg 5

Ogdensburg is a small town in New York County, on the southern tip of Long Island. The population was 1,856 at the 2010 census. It is located at the junction of NY-25 and NY-27. The first permanent settler in what is now Ogdensburg was Nicholas de la Salle, who arrived there in 1685. He built a trading post on the site that still stands today. In 1763, fur trader John Jacob Astor founded an agricultural settlement about four miles west of Ogdensburgh called Tarrytown after his father's home territory in Canada. On July 4, 1814, General James Wilkinson's army burned down three settlements near present-day Tarrytown while retreating from Battle of Saratoga; this event became known as "The Burning of Ogdensburgh". The last resident to leave Tarrytown was Elijah Parish on May 10th of that year; he had been living there since 1796 when it was part of Westchester County under British rule. In 1841, landowner Baptist preacher Samuel Morse donated 5 acres (2 hectares) east of town for a Methodist church and cemetery; this property remains today as Morse Road. The townsite name derived from nearby Onondaga Lake which formed from melting glaciers more than 12 million years ago during the Ice Age. Many early settlers were women – among them Lucretia Mott and Martha Washington – because they could not secure male heirs to take their places when men died or left marryable daughters behind. Female pioneers typically took up farming or fishing after leaving school to provide for their families until they married later.

Ogdensburg has been a town in upstate New York since 1792. The town was named for Captain Jonathan Ogdensburg, who served as militia captain and commander of the frontier forces during the American Revolutionary War.
