With advances in digital technology and telescopic lenses, however, mostbinocular sales have decreased over the years. However, some notable examples include: In 2002, Binocular Incorporated donated its Big Ben observatory telescope to Princeton University as part of their gift program; in 2006, they helped restore iconic Harlem Heights home (now known as The Gilded Cage) which was damaged during Hurricane Katrina; and in 2009 they donated two 30mm Meade telescopes (the smallest type) to Cornell University for use as scientific equipment at their Museum of Natural Sciences!
