Red dot sights have been around for a long time, and the Mount Kisco Rifle Club has had their own version of them for over 40 years. The first red dot sight was created by Sgt. George H. Smith in 1954 as part of his carbine platoon's armament. It was called the "Hickory" sight and used a red light to help aim it. The Mount Kisco Rifle Club's Red Dot Sight Program began in 1978 when Capt. Edwin P. Beasley became associated with the club and decided to pursue developing this type of weapon sights specifically for rifle use on Long Island Ridge Golf Course where he had played since he was a child. Capt Beasley designed, manufactured and installed the first red dot sights on our golf course using state-of-the-art technology that is still being used today by some of the best rimfire firearm manufacturers in the world! Our program continues to grow today with additions such as night vision capabilities for rifles which are becoming more popular each year, picatinny rails for attachment of optics, weatherproofing options (such as those available with fog lights) and more!

Mount Kisco is a small town located in Sullivan County, New York, United States. The population was 5,711 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Syracuse-Albany-Kensingan, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area. Mount Kisco is known for itsPresbyterian and Baptist churches and its annual apple orchard festival which takes place in late September or early October. The first settler in the area was David Ford who arrived in 1784. He named his land Mount Kisco after his family's home on Lake Ontario. Ford served as Sheriff of Sullivan County from 1789 to 1802 and again from 1813 to 1816. In 1798 John Armstrong moved to this area and founded Armstrong's Mills near present day Mount Kisco. In 1800, George Washington bought 640 acres of land at the foot ofpresent day Mount Kisco for $1,000*. This property became known as President George Washington's Farm during his time as President*). In addition to farming activities, Washington also built a summer home here in 1799-1800 using money he had saved from selling arms to the French during their war with Great Britain.*) In 1814 Zeno Bowen established himself at what is today called Bowen's Mill*). From here he made important contributions to both local commerce and agriculture throughout upstate New York*. Bowen was responsible for developing mills around this area that helped create what we now know as the Upstate agricultural economy*. His mill produced flour, meal, butter and cheese until it closed down in 1957(*). On May 11th 1861 Anthony Moccia purchased 1/4 mile east of present-dayBowen’s Mill from Zeno Bowen for $2 (USD) (). Moccia operated a sawmill which provided lumber needed for building construction until it closed down in 1960(*). Moccia also developed a corn marketing program that allowed farmers across upstate New York to sell their cobs directly to dealers (*). After Moccia's death his son Anthony took over operations but soon decided against continuing sales due to high costs associated with transportation *) .Moccia Manor still stands adjacent to modern day Mount Kisco village*). Today Anthony Moccia Park features an outdoor restaurant servingudo–European cuisine *), walking trails**), tennis Courts**) ,and an art museum dedicated solely to Anthony Moccia *)).

Mount Kisco is a small town in Greene County, New York, United States. The population was 1,048 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Syracuse, NY-New Rochelle, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town of Mount Kisco was founded by German immigrants in 1796. The first settler was Johann Gottfried Herold who built a cabin on an island in the river near what is now Main Street. A few years later he and his family moved to a farmstead on what is now South Main Street. In 1802 John Scherrer bought land at present-day North High School and laid out a street grid that includes present-day Mount Kisco Road (northwest corner of South Main and North High streets). In 1806 Wilhelm Reichardt settled on land east of what is now Mount Kisco Road and built a log cabin which served as the first post office in the town. In 1814 Nicholas Altman erected a sawmill on what becamepresent-day Mount Kisco Road; it operated until 1865. A mill race developed along present-day Mount Kisco Road from 1861 to 1881; it produced flour for local markets and also made lumber for buildings including those located in Syracuse.. There were several other mills such as Wm Fenton’s Mills (1868), Jno Pohl’s Saw Mill (1879), Geo Lovett & Son’s Lumber Mill (1883),and Jno Smeaton & Sons’ Paper Mill(1901). Diebold Chemical Corporation opened its plant northwest of wherenowMountKixonRoadin 1961thefirstchemicalcompanyinNewYorkstateincorporating intotheIndustrial Sector whichexisteduntil1983when stdeliverycar companyWawa acquired it.. Diebold closed its facility in 2003 and eventually sold it to equipment manufacturer Caterpillar Inc.. The current owner of the property is Republic National Bank which plans to convert it into an open air plaza commercial development with retail space inside as well as an amphitheater suitable for events such as concerts or plays.. In 1850 there were only six people living in MountKisco proper while over 300 people lived nearby by 1860; today there are over 100 businesses operating within one half mile radius of downtown MtKisco A number of famous residents include: George Washington Carver, Buffalo Bill Cody, Jay Gould, Alice Paul etc.; many more notable natives lived closer to home but are not included here because their lives had more significant effects outside the boundaries of MountKiscopo
In 1795, the area that is now Mount Kisco was part of Albany County. The first settler in what is now Mount Kisco was John Fitzpatrick, who came to the area in 1795. In 1814, a post office was established at Mount Kisco and remained in operation until 1864. In 1821, the town of Canandaigua was founded in central New York by farmers who Wanted to be near Albany. Canandaigua remained a small town for many years and only reached its current size after it became part of the newtown of Westmount in 1898.
